Lou Holtz Should Retire

While watching the WVU vs. USF game tonight, the commentators at half time were discussing 'pick-em' for this week. Of course, the Auburn vs. Florida game came up and TWO of the commentators picked Auburn as the upset over Florida, yet Lou Holtz still chose the Gators (which, is not where my beef begins) As the half time show progressed, the commentators continued discussing the decision and Lou Holtz went on to say that an Auburn victory over Florida would be the equivalent of SWANEE beating Georgia Tech. I think that says enough about his mental state / age (as if his constant lisp due to loose-dentures wasn't indicator enough) I just feel like that was about the dumbest / most offensive comment I've heard about any first rate football program in quite a while.

Clarification

I did notice after posting and re-reading that I made a mistake in the spelling of Suwanee. I do apologize for that. Also, just to clarify, I worded it poorly. He was not saying it would be the same as Suwanee upsetting GA Tech now, but was rather referring to the upset they pulled against GA Tech in the past.

I concur
Holtz is beyond senile.  I'm not sure, but that GT/Suwanee game must have been over 50 years ago.  It doesn't seem like a reasonable comparison.  Maybe compare the 1994 UF game, or the 2001 game.  Or hell, let's just throw in last year for good measure.  Auburn makes its reputation as the upset king of the world, and Lou Holtz is living in his fairy land "Notre Dame is good" cretaceous period.  Maybe Mike Gundy will get a job behind the desk so we can get some in-your-face, better-than-3/4-accurate analysis.

Good Call

Before the game began, Holtz said he had a better chance at being elected senator of Florida than Auburn had at getting the upset! He is a jerk, and that was highly OFFENSIVE!
