Language......Please

Star-divide

All,

This is a call to everyone to watch the language that you use on this site.  I don't care who your team(s) is/are and what blog you are on.  This is a family friendly site for people of all ages to read.  The "F" bombs, "S" bombs and "GD" bombs need STOP IMMEDIATELY.  They are absolutely classless.  I know there are comments left on this blog and others that infuriate you as I too am infuriated at some (lately many) of the comments.  But that doesn't mean you have to respond with foul language.

Lets all show some class and watch our language.  Do you cuss around your kids or other kids?  Do you cuss around your elders or grandparents?  Do you cuss walking through the concourse to Jordan-Hare?

You get my point!!!

If you’re going to be vulgar, do it responsibly, as an adult would. No need to destroy this site with immaturity.

Thanks WDE...

If anyone comes across a post using those words, let me know. We’re going to start banning those who use that kind of language.

I agree...

although I am not sure that using an adults mind to figure out the context is not as agregious but if you wish for that to stop then I will refrain.

same here

I once asked the question why are there so many Alabama fans that never graduated from the university? I was told its because their parents were fans and it was passed down.........(my response after a pause).....similar to racism.....?

Apologies all around

I cannot tell a lie. It was I who cut down the cherry tree. I shall try to watch the lingo. You are 100% right

Me, too.

…..Probably in real life, I’m worse than online, but I’ve been guilty, too. Really, using those words is a failure in self control, I believe. On the other hand, I came by it honestly. I learned most of those words from my dad, and got in trouble CONSTANTLY in kindergarten class.

…..We’ll all try to do better, right?

Things do not have to be G-Rated...

We’ll take PG-13. A few hells and damns and so forth are completely OK. Let’s stay away from the F Word, MTF, GD and assorted other over the top words.

So What would George Carlin say

Should we include his list of words you can say on television or revamp it for Internet

I aint going against what yall are saying, but people should not say the GD word in the first place if you have any sense at all.

What about

Jesus Christ? i guess it depends on how you say it. Guys i think we need a list especially if we are going to get banned for this. Or we can put an age limit on the membership and not have to really worry

Would it really matter?

Actually No but have to take into account people that are

My thought was and is...

GD or JC have no extra bad meaning to an agnostic which would contradict AUrebel02’s statement that GD should not be said at all “if you have any sense at all”. Saying GD is no better or worse than saying the “F” word in the opinion of some and yes I am part of that group. However, I try to refrain from it to avoid stepping on someone elses religious toes.

But not the ones who aren't here to stir crap up

Several of the ones that talk over here are fair and logical, even if they throw in a dig at AU every now and then. IMO it increases the level of discussion to have the enemy chime in every once and awhile.

Wow

I’m honored that I occupy your thoughts even when I’m not in this thread. You just made my day.

Vain?

Your not the only bama person here. Why would we waste our time thinking of you? I believe this was a general statement not made to a particular person but a group of people.
