A Look Back
I know yall remember the great years we have had since CTT has taken over our program. And as bad as my stomach churned last night I know he should at the minimum be given another year. Remember this game/year ?
SEPT. 18, 2004
It's late, awfully late. Fourth-and-12, Auburn down 9-3 to LSU. The third game of Campbell's final season is about to end with a loss at Jordan-Hare Stadium, in front of the largest crowd ever to see a football game in the state of Alabama. Coordinator Al Borges can barely stand to watch from the sideline. He took over the position in the off-season, replacing Hugh Nall, who replaced Bobby Petrino in 2003, who replaced Noel Mazzone in 2002. Is it any wonder Campbell has been struggling all day? As much as Borges tells him to let it rip in the new West Coast, the QB still sometimes plays as if he were afraid to mess up.
As the stadium waits, quiet as a spool of string, Campbell takes the ball from under center. The Tigers blitz. Before he's hit by two defenders, Campbell finds receiver Courtney Taylor with a 14-yard pass to get the game-saving first down. Three plays later, he hits Taylor again for a 16-yard touchdown. The Tigers win 10-9 and don't lose a game all season.
Do you think a bad football coach can go undefeated in the SEC ? LSU lost two games last year and won the national title, Florida was beat the year before by guess who ? Yeah our Tigers, who CTT has won his last two games aganst including a win in the Swamp Urban's first loss at home as the Gators coach. CTT has a winning record vs FL,TENN,GEOR,ala SIX WINS IN ROW AGANST BAMA! When you log onto this site Jay's title includes beating bama yearly since 2002. You want to risk this becouse we are having one terrible year. Emotion will make you think irrationally. Do we want to risk our program to a new Coach ? It was not even a year go when we beat Clemson in the Peach bowl and we all were on cloud nine with expectations of a HUGE year.
My vote is to keep CTT around and let him overhaul our offensive staff.

Sigh...
1) Did Tuberneck beat Alabama six* years in a row, or did he have assistance in terms of coaching changes and NCAA sanctions on Alabama’s behalf? Do you find it ironic he was 1-6 against Alabama before all that began? A few Barnies may claim it was a mere coincidence, but after dominating The Polytechnic Institute 8 out of 12 times, prior to the downfall, proves the case to be true. And NEEDLESS TO SAY now that the fallen pieces are being picked back up, he’s resorted BACK to natural form. But you barnies are so blinded by delusion, you’ll NEVER own up to the truth!
2) Did Tuberneck and his sweet little Tahggerz cheat to defeat LSU that year by 1 point on a ridiculous call? Please explain what makes BLOCKING THE KICK and falling down onto ONE OF YOUR VERY OWN PLAYERS ILLEGAL? Search the You Tube videos and you’ll clearly SEE the guy DID NOT lay a finger on his fellow player WHILE OR BEFORE THE KICK WAS BLOCKED! Was the same Aufarm alumni/booster serving as the replay official during that game as well, just as he did the LSU game in 2006?

Kick in the Ass
Auburn was on probation when Alabama had their Bull S*** 9 streak against us you dont see us complaining.
So your argument 1 dosent fly. He was 1 and 6 with an Ole miss team not an Auburn team
Cheat?! its not cheating if an official makes a call in our favor. and your speaking to a former Umpire What we say goes
Your a Dickless alabama fan with another name on the Bammer website. This is the internet you dont have to hide or do you?
I once asked the question why are there so many Alabama fans that never graduated from the university? I was told its because their parents were fans and it was passed down.........(my response after a pause).....similar to racism.....?
I Love Rational Thinking!
Excellent post AU04. I am as sick to my stomach as everyone else is over this season. When it seems things can’t get any worse, they do. It is kind of like Murhpy’s law………..or life. Take your pick.
Since the Miss State game, I have mulled over whether its time for CTT to go. Really tried to keep my head on straight and way the pros and cons.
I really think Tuberville deserves one more year. He may have to make some significant changes in his coaching staff if he is going to keep the spread but he has proven he has more of what it takes than most of what’s out there. Like what was posted above, aren’t we asking him to do what other coaches in the SEC can barely accomplish? LSU & Florida’s National Championships came about with a dependency on other teams losing. In ‘04 Tubberville did all he could do. The pollsters didn’t see fit to allow him the opportunity to close the deal. In a conference like the SEC, so many things have to go just right to win a NC including keeping a healthy roster. Something that is helping bama emensly right now.
Did we expect to win in Morgantown?
Tuberville has NOT won a non-conference road game since he’s been at Auburn. Georgia Tech-2003,Southern CaL-2002, and Syracuse-2001! Auburn willl be rebuilding again next year no matter who is at the helm.
Auburn Elvis
We have the talent to win right away
Even with a terrible offense we have led every game at halftime. What about CTT’S record on the road vs top 10 teams ? Auburn has been a very good road team the last 5 years. I always look at the cup half full.

You're right
Like Tommy being fired at half time, ANYTHING? Or Auburn not even having the balls to come back out for the second half, ANYTHING?
Bragging rights only apply when you don’t feel like (or sound like) a retard bragging. You have no bragging rights man. Your team is 4-4. That’s not exactly the same team you gained those rights with. Who’s living in the past now?

Your as stupid as you sound if you think you are going to win the Iron bowl just for showing up. Throw the records out the window for this game sparky. What is Bammer’s record vs AU in your craphole of a city ? We own your home stadium. This is our national title this year and if we beat yalls ass it makes the season for me.

Honestly,
When was the last time that the rammer jammers won at home in Tuscaloosa against Auburn?..Oh wait a minute, isn’t that why the games were moved to Birmingham? Hmmmm. very interesting. In fact, it was not until 2002 that bama scored any points in Tuscaloosa against Auburn. Is that what you guys refer to as a moral victory??

once again. . .
who’s living in the past now? don’t ever complain about an alabama fan saying anything about our numerous national championships when you continue to hark on regular season wins and losses, and where they’ve occured. It doesn’t matter where this game is played. . . it ends with us holding up seven fingers for the number of losses your tired team had this season. Hope to see you in Tuscaloosa real soon guys. It’s gonna be a blast.

Update your definition of Past
You harp on the word Past do you actually know what it means. The fact the game is over and done with isnt the issue it is the streak of 6 and streak of winning in Tuscaloosa that we are referring to… that my friend is still current because the streak isnt over therefore its current. Do you see how that works? Do you realize how stupid you sound?
I once asked the question why are there so many Alabama fans that never graduated from the university? I was told its because their parents were fans and it was passed down.........(my response after a pause).....similar to racism.....?
The time when Auburn was relevant
is in the past. I couldn’t give two shits about any streak. The nine we had against you. . . the six you had against us. . . it just doesn’t matter. The main reason it doesn’t matter is because you guys are pitiful. A total disgrace to football. Those of us who have respect for the game have no respect for you, your coach, your team, or your bumb ass toilet paper tree you revere so much. I’ve had an absolute blast at every single Alabama game I’ve been to. And the fact that you can’t unless you beat Alabama is very telling. Stop taking it so seriously, grab a beer, and have fun with the rest of us. Your tears are a real downer.

Correction
The 6 we still have you see its current. Didnt you read my last post? Just because you were in Jr High when the streak started dosent make it less of a streak
I once asked the question why are there so many Alabama fans that never graduated from the university? I was told its because their parents were fans and it was passed down.........(my response after a pause).....similar to racism.....?
did you not read what I said?
“it just doesn’t matter” . Never said you didn’t have a streak. Keep holding on to it though. . . there’s only a small amount of time left to do so.

The top three most fun Auburn games I've been to did not involve Alabama
1. Auburn/Florida 2006
2. Auburn/Tennessee 2003
3. Auburn/Georgia 2005

I agree those were amazing but
I think the Honk if you sacked Brodie Game had to be one of my favorites Amazing seats lower level 30 yard line and a kid dressed up like the Bear Ugly hat , jacket the works Sitting in front of me hahaha he didn’t last the whole game. He tucked tail and ran shortly after half time.

I was just thinking I'd put that at #4
Also, the Carnell Williams 80 yard TD run on the first play was my first Iron Bowl. Great way to get into it :) But I’d probably put a few in there above that one too.

You and other younger fans would do well to go back and.....
learn some of the history of our program it would certainly help explain some of us “older” tigers stance on the program and our loyalty to Tuberville.
Well
Im from an Auburn Family so i know the history. I remember the Bowden days and most importantly the 1998 season. So Im for staying with Tubberville
