Blogdom's Equivilent of 'Crying Like a Little Girl'

Nothing stinks like a wet dog...
Nothing gets the juices flowing for game week like going over to your opponent's blog (especially a SB Nation blog) and sampling a little of the commentary. It's also fun to do exchanges between blogs during game week. If you recall, Rocky Top Talk did a Q&A session with Jay before that game. Our sister blog, Dawg Sports, made contact with me a few weeks ago about doing a humorous exchange outside the normal fare, so we decided on Deep South's Oldest Rivalry Haiku, the little Japanese three-verse nature poems. Yea, yea, I know. You gotta harken back to those literary classes you took during freshman year. Ask Power of Dixieland. He knows what I'm talking about...
So I decided to cruise on over to their site today to see what was happening and instantly sight a Fanpost entitled I Really Hate Auburn. It's mostly tongue-in-cheek, but a little over the top. The Dogs have had their MNC dreams thrashed, by Florida of all teams, (who would have thunk it?) so you have to spot them a little PMS moodiness. One commenter recalls that he first started hating Auburn during the Pat Sullivan era. I then proceed to comment after that, and then the site owner/editor/district attorney proceeds to jump in. CAUTION: Not suitable for young children or people who shirk from conflict.
Special Enmity for Auburn I have hated Auburn since I saw them beat our 9-0 football team in 1971. Pat Sullivan literally won the Heisman Trophy against us that day, 35-20. That MAY have been one of the luckiest days an athlete ever had in Sanford Stadium, with all the throws he made just as he was being sacked.

What a coincidence... Bo Jackson literally won the Heisman that day in 1985, too, with around 180 yards and a 3 TD beatdown of the Dawgs in Sanford. Perhaps you’re upset because we never said thanks. Alas, 1985 was my first year picking hedges, and like any rookie is prone to do in such matters, I nearly tore off half a bush. However, I was able to perfect the craft when returning in ’87 and ’89.

War Eagle Atlanta, I try to be hospitable to guests in my house . . . . . . but I strongly recommend that, if you’ve participated in that despicable practice on a visit to Sanford Stadium for which the statute of limitations has not yet expired, you keep it to yourself. It’s called destruction of public property and it’s a crime. If visitors to our campus started ripping bricks out of the Tate Center, we wouldn’t tolerate it; we’d have the perpetrators arrested and prosecuted. Why we tolerate it in Sanford Stadium is beyond me, but the fact that we fail to press charges doesn’t make that act of vandalism any less criminal. The next time you’re in Athens, keep your damn hands off of our hedges. That kind of cheap crap is why I hate Auburn.

Bricks don't grow back... Hopefully you needn’t attend an Ag school to know that. Besides, that was half a lifetime for me. I’ve matured since then, unlike some of the commenters on here…

No, but bricks can be repaired I’ll quote you the code section if you’d like, but what you did (three times, I might add) was a crime. If we started throwing you sons of bitches in the Clarke County Jail for that crap, I bet y’all would mature in a great big hurry, but that’s exactly the kind of l awless nonsense I would expect from an institution that chooses to honor cheaters like Shug Jordan and Pat Dye.

Why don't... …you personally enact a citizen’s arraist on me next year, Barney? Jesus, will you pull your panties back out of your crack on the hedges?Just be thankful that you don’t have Florida at home every other year, or the shrubbery might look like a hurricane blew through it…

All right, that's it, War Eagle Atlanta I’ve put up with you long enough. You’re banned, asshole. Now get back to your double-wide and impregnate your sister while watching rasslin’.by

So Neidermeyer blows a gasket over some shrubbery. I'm first taken aback by his ferocity over something so innane, so I relent a little. He then proceeds to keep hounding on it, like a Mormon missionary with an Amway franchise. I don't back down, and he does like any mutt would do and goes whimpering behind his blog. If you can't beat 'em, have them banned. Every one gets their lunch eaten occasionally while commenting on blogs, but not everyone gets to silence their critics. That's something I vow never to do here on TET. Assuming someone ever takes my lunch money first, that is...
So be sure to visit our fine friends over at Dawg Sports. And while I would never use my position here to encourage anyone to be rude or anything other than Auburnly, I probably won't mind if you pick the hedges...
And withour further adieu, my Deep South's Oldest Rivalry haiku:
Dawg winds prevail
Westward across the Hooch
Will Richt blow O-for Alabama?
Game day smell of bourbon
Dawgs man enough in Auburn?
Pat Dye's liver inquires
Larry's echoes linger
Sugar falls; run, Lindsay, run
Bellamy-Strickland silent
Fall hopes fall wayside
A veteran coach twists in the wind
Sexton, get busy
A new OC beginning
Bidden not well, then farewell
Spread's dead, baby

What a baby/dbag
I’m from Ga and am a current student at AU, and this is one of the main reasons I learned to HATE most of the GA fans. Almost all of them are the biggest Dbags on the planet. When they’re down, they complain and complain and make stupid excuses, when they’re up they rub everything they can in your face at every opportunity. Yes the guy probably is right that “by the book” snatching a leaf or two off a bush would be defacing property, but honestly……..I mean really….should it get you that pissed off? Did you see me crying after your classless guys started dancing all over the field? No….did I like it….no….but I didnt bitch about it. K now i’m gonna go say something to the dbag.
Wow...
That really escalated quickly over there.
Honestly though, if LSU made it a habit to grab some hedges from Jordan Hare after a victory there (you know once every 10 years when that actually happens ;) ) I think y’all would be pretty pissed, and rightfully so.
Note to self, when in Athens next year, stay AWAY from the hedges.
Note to Self:
When in Athens next year, sneak in about a gallon of Roundup—concentrate!
As many times as that guy mentioned I hate Auburn, I seriously wonder if he needs some counseling. All that hate….gonna burn you up!

Watch out, T Kyle won't take it...
I think that I hurt T Kyles feeling because he deleted one of my posts. It went a little something like this…
T. Kyle: “Daddy, he touched my hedges!”
T. Kyles Dad: “Well son, that was 20 years ago.”
T. Kyle: “I don’t care, it makes me soooo angry!”
T. Kyles Dad: “Stop being a pansy.”
T. Kyle: “Oooh, I love pansies!”
Seriously, why would he delete that?
F-it
I got banned from RTR site might as well go for the whole shibang lol
I once asked the question why are there so many Alabama fans that never graduated from the university? I was told its because their parents were fans and it was passed down.........(my response after a pause).....similar to racism.....?
You didn't see us boo hooing
when someone tried to burn tdown the tree at Toomer’s corner. I salute you for standing your ground. I didn’t relize that some of these sites were run by women. Actually strike that cause I don’t think a woman would have reacted like that.
As the saying goes...
The s—- is about to hit the fan

Sometimes you just gotta hose em down.....
I have noticed over the last decade or so that UGA fans are starting to act like a wine and cheese ACC school rather than the SEC down and dirty fans they have always been. A little hose action might just bring em back to reality.
They told
me to chop down a tree with a herring. The sons o bitches

I guess T Kyle realized that he was coming across as a Super Douche because he unbanned WarEagleAtlanta and yourself.

Ladies and gentlemen:
I will not comment on or respond to the characterizations of me that have been made here. I will simply state that, in the course of three and a half years in the blogosphere, I believe I have built up a record and a reputation, by which I am content to be judged. Ask around, and trust in what you hear from those whom you respect. If I still come across badly in your eyes, so be it.
The_Observer, I deleted one (and only one) comment of yours because I did not appreciate the characterization which involved a reference to my father, whom you have never met. Along those lines, War Eagle Atlanta, I was out of line with the reference to your sister, and I apologize to you publicly for having stooped to such a level. I was wrong, and I am sorry. I likewise apologize for my cursing, which was inappropriate.
War Eagle Atlanta, we see matters differently if you believe you relented and I kept after the issue; I believe we both were talking about the same thing the whole time, and that it was a continual back and forth throughout. That, though, is something about which we will have to agree to disagree.
As for why I consider the tradition of Auburn fans and Auburn players ripping pieces out of the hedges when (as frequently they do) they win in Sanford Stadium so offensive, I will simply state that we both have things we consider sacred.
You have the tree at Toomer’s Corner and the flight of the War Eagle over Jordan-Hare Stadium. We have the hedges and Uga. I would take it personally if someone tried to harm or kidnap Uga, just as you would take it personally if someone tried to harm or kidnap Tiger. I take it personally when anyone harms the hedges, just as I suspect you would take it personally if anyone tried to harm the tree at Toomer’s Corner.
War Eagle Atlanta, at the time of our exchange, I did not realize that MaconDawg and you had been in communication. He called and told me this morning. I regret having derailed your plans. If you want to e-mail MaconDawg and try to revive your earlier arrangement, please feel free to do so. I regret the miscommunication.
War Eagle Atlanta and GumptownTiger, you have been unbanned at Dawg Sports. I will concede that, due to the intensity with which I regard the Deep South’s oldest and most-played football rivalry, I may have brought an overly quick trigger finger to the fray. I would respectfully request that you consider the extent to which everyone involved may not have been on the best behavior and the ways in which we all could have been more reasonable and respectful to one another.
PowerOfDixieland, I thank you for your measured approach throughout our exchange, which has helped matters considerably.
I now depart with best wishes for a good game on Saturday and I leave you to continue, or discontinue, the barrage, as you see fit.
Jay, Acid Reign, WarDamnZach, and War Eagle Atlanta, I apologize in advance if, by posting a comment in this thread, I inadvertently touch off more of what we have seen in the comment thread at Dawg Sports. This will be my last comment here upon the subject.
Sincerely yours,
T. Kyle King
Go 'Dawgs!
One's enough...
I only accused you of deleting one (uno, singular, one less than two) of my posts.
Let me clarify by saying that I was not referencing your father, but rather I was pointing out the childish manner in which you were handling the situation. I recall you being the one cursing, speaking of incest and just generally being disrespectful and immature.
I have never experienced a Moderator use his/her power so abusively in all my time in and around the blogosphere (Maybe a better name for your site would be Dawgs Dictatorship). Deleting a post, multiple bans and unfiltered hatred is a lot to handle from a person in one day.
That being said, I will cease all dialogue on your site unless I feel I have something positve to contribute.

I love it...
You guys are killing me… This is what makes this rivalry great… It has been one hell of a read on both sites… Continue on… This is better than going to Movie Gallery.

Well damn...
It got a little feisty over there. Just a quote for fodder, “Can’t we all just get along?”.
http://hobnailboot.blogspot.com/
Why
He is a DOUCHEBAG! **ck his apology.
He and his University can burn in hell as far as i’m concerned.
They are actually so stuck on themselves they put their Disabilities office for the unversity on the 2nd floor of a Non-elevated building, and then had the nerve to bitch about it when the American disability Assoc. (ADA) asked them to fix it or move it elsewhere. They actually had the nerve to tell the ADA that they were’nt gonna do anything. The building was historic and they didnt have to do anything to it on the grounds that historic society protected the building. That is until the ADA served them a letter instructing them to either fix the problem or be shut-down as they are a public institution and had to follow federal guidelines concerning ADA requirments. At that point they moved it and actually wrote about how it was becasue they recognized it as a problem for their students with disabilities. What Piss-ants! But we’re the ones that are arrogant?
“Mar’s is sooooo amazing!”
Aren't those stupid bushes from Florida anyway?
I seem to recall Billy Payne and Mr. Dooley shipping their sacred bushes down to Florida to make way for women’s soccer in the 96 Olympics.
Nope
The nursery where they’re grown is right outside Thomson, GA. It’s about 70 miles south of Athens.
http://hobnailboot.blogspot.com/
True or false though that Billy sent those bushes into Florida for the Olympic games?
Either way, good luck on the game this weekend. Being a Falcons season ticket holder plagued by 1pm EST starts, i’m dreading an early Auburn game followed by an early Falcons game on Sunday.
If you're too tired to go Sunday...
You ring me, mkay?

Dude...
If we win on saturday i’m gonna show them how arrogant this Auburn fan can be. That goes double for the bammers.
I Hate Georgia!
They can dish it out but can't take it....
That is common of every Georgia fan I know. They are unbelievably sanctimonius. I couldn’t believe the morons I Iistened to last year griping about how LSU got into the MNC game over them when they didn’t even win their friggin division. They live in a differnt world where rationality and the facts don’t mean anything. Every year they start off hot, its 1980 again and the DAWGS can beat anybody. The fact is UGA is just like Auburn, they can’t win when they have to when it means the difference in going all the way. (2004 doesn’t count for us because nobody was letting us in the MNC game unless USC or OK lost….and they didn’t) Georgia fans think Richt has hung the moon and the stars and yet when I illuminate to them how Richt himself loses them at least one game every year be it by poor preparation or la late game mental mistake, they blow a gasket. Richt is really at odds with himself about how to go about running that program. He’s a holy roller but realizes if he runs the program too tight, all his thugs will get suspended get kicked off the team, or transfer. Therefore he tries to portray this image of being such a good Christian guy but he lets the thugs do what they please. I would be embarrassed by what the young men representing that school get away with. I was embarrassed when Tubs tried to make Auburn into another Miami when he got here, culminating in the stomping of the Tiger eye before the LSU game in 2001(?). There is no place for that in college sports and I was actually glad LSU whipped our tail that day to teach Tubs a lesson. I want to win, but not that way. Ever since the Jet gate debacle though Tubs seems to have turned towards running a respectable program and promoting unity and a family atmosphere. I admire and thank him for that. Now if he would just make sure we play to our strengths and win a friggin game that we have a chance to win, he’d really make me happy.
Come on Tubby make me love you again!!! I HAAAAAATE Georgia.
WAAAAAAAAR EAGLE HEY!!
On what day did the Lord create Bear Bryant and couldn't he have rested on that day too?
