Cant post at RBR so I will post here
After I found out I was a celeb at RBR, my heart filled with pride and joy. Then I became curious as to what may have been said, so I made my 5th ever trip over to ther site. I tried to register so I could comment, but was informed that, like purchasing a firearm, there is a waiting period to be able to post comments. That is the first time I've run into that.
I wanted to address my banning at dawgsports. The bammers all agree that I was banned for all the crude, rude, and undignified posts I made on dawgs' site. Well I ask those uninformed bama fans to go back to dawgsports and look at the article. Show me where I crossed ANY line. I don't recall posting anything that was out of line at all. The whole reason I went over there was because I had heard that thier MOD was banning people simply because he didn't agree with what they were saying. I thought that was wrong so I went over to check it out and was promptly banned after like two posts. To dawgs' mod's credit he did unnban me after he had a moment to realize he had acted prematurely and came here to admit as much.
As for trash talking your site, I dont know if you got the memo, but IT IS IRON BOWL WEEK! Everything is up for grabs. I don't know if you expected us all to sit idely by while you came over here and insulted us with almost every post, but that isn't the case. I just had a theory as to why you may be coming over here and I shared it, ON THIS BLOG.
For the record there is a good bit of football content on rbr, it is just hard to find.
Please feel free to comment on this. You won't get banned and as far as I know we are like a gun show. NO WAITING PERIOD.
Thank you for your time and WAR EAGLE!

No wadded panties her
I welcome the visitors and am glad you take the comments in stride. Life is too short to let a blog ruin your day. I agree some of this gets a little too personal, but that is the irony of the Internet. It somehow makes everything less personal which, for some reason, causes people to make really personal attacks.
You have to agree though that the mixing and mingling of rival fans is what makes this week interesting.

I've kind of tried to stay away from the trash talk,
…..but I’ve lurked and enjoyed it! The history of Alabama/Auburn trash talk in my family is not pretty. There are relatives on both sides who can’t keep it all in fun. And some who can dish it out, but CANNOT take it.
…..When talk turns to fistfights, broken windws, eggs thrown at houses, and in one instance spray-painting a car red and white and costing the owner hundreds to get it re-painted… I’ve got a little different perspective.
…..My mother taught me how to answer the phone in 1964, because it would ring 20 times a day in December, and the person on the other end would yell “Roll Tide!” when you picked up… It’s worth noting that I’ve not offered even one “War Eagle” to my Bama-grad uncle in the past six years, and he was one of the more notorious phone-abusers back in the day.
…..My dad taught me not to rub it in, and to always be a good sport. And, he graduated from Alabama, in 1956, and followed up with a a Dental degree here in Birmingham. He’s always been deeply disappointed with some of the smack other Bama family members talk. I was very lucky to grow up under his influence!

Wow your family needs to be checked out. You are the exception because no one around here acts like that.

I've never clained that junk is typical Bama behavior...
…..however, it did shape my allegiance, because it was what I knew growing up. Those relatives… they never knew when to quit on pranks. If you think those Iron Bowl stories are bad, you should have seen some of the things they did at weddings and funerals. At one wedding, one of these pranksters bought a whole case of wind-up alarm clocks, 144 of them. He spent the night before the wedding breaking into the church, winding all the clocks up, and setting the alarms for a minute or so apart during the wedding. And hiding all the clocks under the pews. The bride was reduced to tears.. Just unbelievably MEAN stuff.
……Some of ‘em you didn’t even mention football around ’em if their team lost. Something or someone was going to get broken.

Give me a break.
Brandonh, you are going to come into our house and say, ‘_No one around here acts like that’_. WHATEVER As if this needs explaining, but grasshopper, when there is a rivalry involved, family is where it gets the MOST personal. Most of my jammer family members want to dish it, but simply can’t take it. Lack of constitution I suppose, but I think it really has to do with lack of quickness.

like i said...
you probably have a dysfunctional family. If they can’t act like a reasonable person b/c their favorite college team lost, then they need some serious help.

What's the matter dude?
Forget to brine your turkey or Uncle Sal eat all of your cornbread stuffing? I get why you spend so much time over here. I have been to RBR. Is that how you know so much about dysfunctional families. Good luck tomorrow, my friend. You are going to need it.

The RBR Thread Got Taken Down
…because most of their posters over there were incapable of coming up with witty and clever responses and retorts and instead had nothing but insults and curse words. Not one of my posts over there contained a curse towards anyone—they were all coming from the crimson side and the RBR monitors had to shut it down, which is a pity because I’m sure they would have preferred to have an educated readership and not a bunch of cyber-hooligans.
I’m still looking for the first thread on here called ‘I hate Bama’. If we do have one, you’ll know that we’re condoning and inviting that kind of behavior that gets out of line real fast. So Bammers, don’t blame us for the censorship—take a long look in the mirror.
