Croom Out At Miss State

I have a lot of respect for Sylvester Croom. Under his leadership, MSU became a team that was no longer a pushover. He built a formidable defensive program. Considering the mess that Jackie Sherrill left him, he could not have possibly built that program any faster. Houstan Nutt’s success at Ole Miss has a lot to do with the players that Coach O left him. Croom did not have that luxury at MSU.

Croom is a good coach and deserved better.

Its sad he had to step down. Hes a better coach then his record reflects.
