Wow....if Chizik is a GREAT hire...
makes you wonder what Herbstreet would have said if we had hired a head coach that had demonstrated competency at the job.
…or he could have said “The Auburn Tigers got a great one in Gene Chizik…..and I just a recieved a statement from Colonial Bank of an error in my favor for $10,000!!!”
On what day did the Lord create Bear Bryant and couldn't he have rested on that day too?

Great Defensive Coach
Chizek’s final year at Texas was 2006. That year the Longhorns were ranked 99th in the nation in pass defense. You say, “Well that is because of the conference they were in.” Well, they were ranked 10th of the 12 in their conference. Why again did we select this guy?

You know...
After the news came out I think most of us was furious and wondered why in the hell Jay Jacobs would go off and hire someone like Chizik. It is now the day after and we all have to come to terms that this is a done deal. We can either sit around and bitch about it or we can get behind the team and support them. It’s not their fault and it’s not Gene’s fault. The only people to blame (that I know of) is Jay Jacobs and Jay Gogue. They are ultimately responsible for who is hired and who is fired. So we might as well just forget about it and move on. I know it makes everyone feel better to vent but sooner or later you are just going to have to deal with it. So why not sooner rather than later?

Get behind Chizik....
and continue to scream for the “JAYS” resignation. Also, I never figured Herbstreit for a crackhead.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU

Herbstreit's obviously friends with Chizik
I generally get behind my friends, don’t you?

Only one
There is only one person’s take on all this I’m interested in and his number is 2,243 yards with 24 touchdowns.

that's because he's the Herbiebot...
…and he was programmed to say all kinds of stupid shit like “the team with more heart will win”. and “Ohio State can beat USC because they’ve got a chip on their shoulder.” and all sorts of other mindless drivel.

Well that settles it.
Proof positive that Chizik was a bad hire: Herbstriet likes him.
Herbstriet is to college football what Custer was to Indian relations: wearing a uniform doesn’t convey to you a deep understanding of the situation.

For all Auburn fans who wanted Turner Gill...
chew on this. I almost choked on my bagel this morning when I read it.

“Particularly when the early word out of Iowa State is that the Cyclones may be going after Buffalo head coach Turner Gill as Chizik’s replacement. Whoever Iowa State does get, Auburn fans will watch with great interest, knowing it’s a coach the Tigers could have gotten first.”
