Greg Schiano/Brian Kelley
I am going to start by saying firing CTT was a terrible decision, two monkeys could have handled it better then Gogue and Jacobs. They need to be dismissed immediately. Having said that we have to move forward, I did take WEA'S suggestion and drop Gouge a line. Ivan Masiel wrote an article that sums up this debacle. The article can be found on www.espn.com.
Schiano Is the perfect candidate for Auburn. He turned around Rutgers, imagine what this guy can do with Auburn. Even with Rutger's slow start this year they are finishing up the year with a 5-0 record pending tonight's result. He is a great D coordinator, young at the age of 42 still has plenty of fire. Schiano was the D coordinator at Miami in the late 90's in addition he is of high moral character and graduates payers. After his 2006 season Schino was awarded the Walter Camp coach of the year award.

My second choice is Brian Kelley for obvious reasons. He has been a winner everywhere he has gone. A brilliant offensive mind. My bet is we keep Rhodes if we bring in a offensive guy and he's gone with a guy like Schiano or Strong
.
My third choice is Charlie Strong. This guy has earned a shot. Great recruiting ties in Florida and the players have always responded to Charlie's hard nosed attitude. I would be happy to have Charlie on he plains.

Strong Candidate
Each of those candidates would bring something to the table for Auburn, and Schiano is the most proven of the 3, but Charlie Strong remains on the top of my list for now. He was one of the first to come to mind because he has been one of the few constants for Florida over the last several years. He’s coached the always speedy defense for Spurrier, Zook & now Meyer, and somehow his name is never really brought up by the sports media when coaching vacancies are out there. For a guy that’s a proven winner, a great motivator, knows how to recruit in the sunshine state, and could probably put together a great staff. And guys, let’s face it. We’ve got egg all over our faces right now, so bringing in an African-American coach who is more than deserving of a shot to be a head coach in the SEC could be the right decision at the right time for our University.
That’s just my thoughts on this predicament, of course. It’s just that I really want to be inspired with this next hire and not just see the latest one-season wonder show up on the Plains only to fail in 3-5 years. Finding the next guy to coach Auburn for 10+ years is what we need. Regardless of who we hire, lets hope those in power make the right decision.
He has interviewed for plenty of HC jobs
But never been hired. Maybe there’s something negative about him we don’t know…

Good Points Regarding
Coach Strong. He is qualified and a hard nosed defensive coach (perfect for the SEC). With only a few African American’s as head coaches (and plenty that are qualified) I think CCS can cut the mustard and would make a great coach.

Schiano and Kelly
don’t look like they are going anywhere. Michigan tried to hire Schiano last year and he didn’t bite.
