28 Days-And I Already Hate Georgia
Jay recommended reading Tony Franklin's interview with Tony Barnhardt. I agree that it's a good read, but if you scroll down into the comment section of the story, you will see vast amount of Dawgs dissing Auburn.
Well, first off, on paper Georgia looks tough. But, what most of the "Puppy Nation" does not realize is that being voted number one before a down is played does not VALIDATE their program. Winning on the field is what makes you number one. Besides LSU and Alabama, I cannot think of a fan base that has let their mild successes on the football field distort their expectations of an upcoming football season as that of the UGA's.
The attacks on Auburn's offense are just way too premature. I read one comment that said that a good SEC defense can stop the spread. But, the best defense in the SEC is Auburn's....So, wherein lies their logic? Georgia is not known for having stellar defense! Except 2001-2003 Or, for winning without using "Circus" theatrics(Florida and Auburn games last year) So, what propels this team to number one? Knoshown Moreno? Caled King? I doubt it. Their road schedule is as brutal as they come!!! They will not have the benefit of using those theatrics against Auburn, and believe me payback is coming.
I gave them the nod against Auburn in my preseason predictions, but I think I am going to retract that. I have looked at Georgia and Auburn closely. We have the better defense, and if the offense is as good as I think it will be, I think Georgia will(like every other year) just sit around and dream about what might have been. While Auburn steals their thunder......Again
28 Days to go, and I already hate people from Athens a little more, but don't fear them College Football World.......
They are all bark and NO BITE!!

You may be right...
.....if they’re having alcohol busts during two-a-days, they may not be worth a cr.., this season. I wonder how many other players are out drinking and urinating on the sidewalk, a month before the season starts?
.....This stuff may make my upcoming Auburn-UGA preview look pretty silly, down the road!

Depth.
They lack it at skill positions. Knoshon isn’t particularly big. If this guy gets banged up, which he will, what are they going to do? King is unproven, and I’m not sure Stafford and receivers will be able to carry the load. UGA will be extremely good this year, but I don’t see how the heck they are getting hyped as this unstoppable juggernaut. It’s obvious the voters are still awe struck by UGA’s late season surge last year which is exactly the reason these preseason polls are so worthless.
What about Barry?
"Barry who?" Forst said, and I felt like I was in the middle of a knock-knock joke.

I agree with you Arie...
Georgia fans are nasty. I had forgotten how bad they were. Since we’ve pretty much controlled them up until two years ago, I quickly forgot how obnoxious they are. My hatred of them is rising by the minute. I do believe they have the best team in the conference, but with that schedule, there’s no way they win the East. The trip down for them will be a rocky one. I can’t wait!

12 November 2005 was my last trip to Athens...
And it will remain that way. It started before kickoff when the pompous ass sitting next to me told me to go back to Iraq. He’s lucky I had the composure after several Makers Marks to keep from knocking him through the goal posts (though that would have been ironic given how the game ended). I sure enjoyed seeing everyone leave the stadium early. I wish the band could have left to prevent our players from getting hurt on the way out. Who lets the opposing team enter/exit in from of the opposing crowd any more?
I grew up in the ATL dealing with these clowns for the majority of my formative years. Beating UAT is nice, but I feel like a part of me dies when we lose to Georgia.
I have never had a good experience in Athens, and I’ve been to 3 football games there. Maybe it’s because we won all three times (1999,2001,2005). I’ve almost been run over by a car (intentionally), told to go back to Iraq, driven at fast speeds by a former “friend,” taunted, and harassed. All because I chose to go to a school that offers more than degrees in fantastical journalism and bobcat driving.
The one good thing about Georgia’s ranking is that the only place they can go is down. I will enjoy it so.

Georgia fans slay me...
I grew up in NW Georgia, during the Herschel Walker days. After the program settled back into mediocrity, people began rooting for other teams. I swear, could go to Mars for 3 years, come back and tell immediately how good UGA was doing in football by counting the tags on local bumpers.

As far as the fans are concerned...
Your fans are no better. TRUST ME…
Alabama fans are no better.
LSU fans are no better.
Yadda! Yadda! Yadda!
In all honesty, I like the Dawgs, but I don’t see them living up to their preaseason expectations either. They will choke somewhere down the line (hopefully against Alabama:-D). And they’ll follow that up with another upsetting loss. LSU was the first of the last. I highly doubt another 2 loss team will EVER play for the BCS National title UNLESS however 2 losses is the best in the country.
I know we all despise each other, and you guys despise UGA and Florida, but would you rather see UGA play for the title, or an undeserving and overrated Ohio State play for it?
