Kodi Burns will play against LSU

Just announced Kodi Burns will get 50% of the snaps.  Listening to WJOX in Birmingham minutes ago. They reported that kodi spoke with tommy and he was told that he would get at least 50% of the snaps in the LSU game. This was a result of him not getting a chance to play during the mississippi state game where he was told they would use him.  Personally im happy about this decision hopefully it will work out and show us how good Kodi can be.

I want Kodi to play as well

But if they’re playing him against LSU just because they didn’t against MSU, that would be stupid. They should be playing him because he’s the better QB, not as some sort of repayment for previous misuse.

i agree but thats just what i hear. i think he is the best option because hes mobile and has a stronger arm

I concur

It is no mystery that Burns is going to be used. I believe we will see all of the offense on Saturday, and I think we all will be quite pleased!

You think Les Miles and the defensive coaching staff agree with you?

If it’s Chris Todd the whole game, you guys may set a new team record for sacks in a game. At least Kodi can tuck it and run if necessary.

Well it's either set a record for sacks or set a record for INT's

Auburn’s sack record on Brodie is too tough to beat, but we stand a decent chance on the INT record!! Bring on Kodi!

Any word on the gash?

That baby gets opened back up and we may lose him completely for a few weeks.

Good to know he’ll be there to add another element to the game and bail Todd out if he slumps.

The season starts next week gentlemen, it is a clean slate.

sweet.

Hopefully they will come up with a great game plan, such as swapping them series by series. What? Nothing?

No crap, I hope that they find an effective way of using him and maybe even put in both Todd and Burns in the backfield for some tom-foolery.

Offense!!

Need to step up their game this Saturday they were only scorers whole game!!!!
But it was not Chris Todd’s fault that this happened!!!

Fault

It might not have been all his fault, but in the end he is the one with the ball in his hands. and some of those receptions were just painful to watch. I thought he was punting the ball they were thrown so far in the air. im basically saying LSU would pick those off in a heart beat. we need someone with a better arm

I only wish that it would have stayed under wraps.....

until the game. I would like to have LSU less prepared for any wrinkles that we might reveal. Of course it may just be rumor but this is the third time I’ve heard it in the last couple of days. I am going to continue to say it doesnt matter who is quarterback if the O-line doesnt correct its mistakes and the running backs keep fumbling.

I don't think under wraps mattered.

I actually heard we had a CB taking snaps imitating Kodi in practice (like we did to prepare against Armanti Edwards of Appy State) before I heard that Kodi would be taking a lot of snaps.
