For all you Monday Morning AD/QB/HC/OC Homers...
For all of you who have already lost hope, please take a look at the following two links. These are links to Troy's total offensive stats by game for 2006 and 2007. When looking at these numbers please take note of these four things.
1-With exception to the game at FIU on 12/2/06, after the 10/28/06 game (week 7 - we are half way there now) against North Texas, Franklin's offense doesn't put less than 300 yards a game. And he had some success before week 7.
2-Total Defense rankings for FSU, GT and Nebraska in 2006. FSU = 18, GT = 27, and Nebraska = 56.
3-The 2007 losses to @ UF and UGA (same places we played) Troy put up 336 yards at UF to our 326 and 488 yards at UGA (the week before we played them) to our 216 yards.
4-The least amount of total yards Troy gained in 2007 was against UF with 336. The same UF as stated above that we put up 326 against.

Good post WDE.......
It would seem that alot of our peers are forgetting that we are 3-0 and in the top 10 as well. I heard Larry Blackney say the same things and that when the offense clicks it will silence the head hunters and nay sayers.
Thanks!!! You Ariegold and I......
are on the same page. I have really just tried to ignore all the BS this week, I just dont get it.
A couple things that I missed last night in reviewing Troy’s stats.
In 2007 Troy led off the season @ Arkansas and put 376 yards. When we went to Arkansas we only put up 290. That is the same Arkansas team that allowed LSU, THE MNC, to gain 338 yards in regulation at Tiger Stadium (LSU actually put up 413 but 75 of that was in OT and the Troy vs. Arkansas game didn’t go to OT).
Also, I noted in the original post that Troy’s lowest offensive total was 336 yards @ UF. We only gained more than 336 yards in five games last year and one of those games was the bowl game with Franklin at the helm. The other four games….
-New Mexico State, 422 yards
-Vandy, 404 yards
-Ole Miss, 420 yards
-Tennessee Tech, 374 yards
I mean give the program/team/guy/players a chance. How many times have the posters on this board taken on a new job, class, task, duty, etc. that they had never done before and completely different from anything they had ever done. Then only worked on the new job, class, task, duty, etc. 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week and were experts in three weeks?? My guess very few if not NONE!!!
I forgot to mention.....
The game that we gained the most yardage in was the bowl game against Clemson (the fifth game where we put up more than 336 yards) where we hung up 423 yards of offense.
Post Chris Todd's stats from last year.
I guarantee you won’t feel as good as when you look at Troy’s stats.

They didn’t win any games that he played in last year, or at least that what the individual records show.
Actually......
according to the stats he did win one. Also, it appears that Hutchinson had more problems than a QB. Their rushing attack put up puny numbers in most every game as well as numerous sacks and blocked kicks. Sounds like they had no offensive line.
