Phillip Marshall Reporting Tyrik Rollison Will Be Full Qualifier
I don't have a subscription to the Auburn Undercover site but that is the title to his posting on his message board.
Link to AU Underover message board.
If this is the case this would be a tremendous weapon to use in the final week of recruiting.
If you were Emory Blake, Deangelo Benton, Reuben Randle, or even Kendall Kelly how do you not want to play under this guy?
Man this guy is sick!
UPDATED: Oops. Sorry about that. Here's the actual link.
BTW, who looks at that chart and just menitons Carter? Wow. Talk about blinders!

okay, yeah it is
BUT check out the inflation increase during Carter’s administration. Unbelievable.

Probably because Jordan Jefferson has already shown something at the college level. Or maybe because Rollison is the #2 rated Dual Threat QB, and the #1, Russell Shepard is already taking classes at LSU…
LSU will get its fair share and possibly more....
there is no doubt about it. But you seem to forget that we are AU and not Mississippi State…..we will get our fair share as well, perhaps not a full plate this year but we will get some and next year with an average AU season next year we will rake them in with the effort put forth in rercruiting by Chizik and Co.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
Understand.
Not poo-pooing AU here, it was just weird the way he called out 3 specific WRs who have taken visits to LSU and AU and not understanding why Auburn wouldn’t sign them because of one really good QB recruit who just recently signed with Auburn, and may or may not qualify.
My point was that LSU has had a QB recruit ranked about the same as AU’s who is already qualified and enrolled in classes who has been recruiting these kids to LSU for 9 months. That’s not even counting the fact that as far as I’m concerned I’ll take what I’ve seen of Jordan Jefferson at the college level over Russell Shepard and Rollison anyday, and the recruits probably understand that as well.
I don't disagree that LSU has the upper hand in the QB department.....
at least on paper. But it is unrealistic for LSU fans to think that they will get all of the top recievers left on the board. I have no doubt that LSU will sign at least one and may get two. But if they do get 2 that still leaves several on the board as possibilities for AU no matter how you look at it. I have a hard time seeing Bama getting more than 1….and Ole Miss will get Patterson if Bama or LSU doesn’t……realistically right now I think our best reciever choices are between Kelley, Benton, and Brown and I could see us getting 2 of the 3 because of the early playing time available at WR. I think its a small chance for us to land either Patterson or Randle at this point but you never know for sure until the faxes start pouring in. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Gotta Admit
I do love your post about Rollison qualifing, but not nearly as much as i love your icon next to your name. Nice……
I still won't be excited until he enrolls

Well, nothing is a sure thing with Recruiting
However, I wish so much emphasis was not placed on the ACT. Just because you don’t do well on the ACT, college seem to think you’re an idiot. You aren’t dumb simply because you have a low ACT score. Furthermore, a high ACT score does not necessarily confirm that you are smarter than someone else with a lower ACT score than yourself. My mother and I both did poorly on the ACT, but had a 4.0 GPA throughout our college career, and that included my graduate studies. Yet again, I did poorly on the GRE except I scored perfect on the written part. Schools take too much creedence into these tests. The kid’s grades should matter more than his ACT score. This goes deeper than just sports though, I’ve been saying that for years. Plus, an interview process should still be used as well to candidates with good grades but low test scores. Oh well, that is just something that really, really grinds my gears.
That's why they use the sliding scale
The higher your GPA is in school, the lower your ACT score needs to be to qualify (to an extent) and vise versa.
They use it to an extent...
Still, it’s a flawed system. Nobody knows the scale better than I do. Believe me, I got to know it very well. Anyway, that’s just something that gets on my last nerve.
Hahahaha, after saying I scored perfect on the written part of the GRE
I was certainly not immune to typos that time. Oh well, it happens to the best of us I reckon.
Well, BravinSeattle
I was trying to make light of your f@@k up by making a crack about Carter, but no worries, I won’t do it again.
LSU may have a better ranked QB...... So What?
I love it how everyone gets all at odds by these preseason recruit rankings. Here’s a fact for ya’ll; they only matter in recruiting. An an example of this is Tony Bell that DB everyone was so excited Auburn snagged up. He was billed as a possible starter in the preseason but I’m yet to see him or even hear about him making any noise at all. What I’m saying is that just because a player is ranked higher than the world coming out of high school is not always mean that he will be a big time player at the college level because that’s what college football is, the next level and there are a lot of highly touted recruits that didn’t do jack at ‘the next level,’ however i must say that it does go both ways as well.
