Hey Bama

HaHa!!!

Yeah, you ended our streak....you won the SEC West...but come on, we still remember what an SEC and Sugar Bowl title feels like...Maybe you should of paid Saban 5 mil. each year...almost got it done...but to the pleasure of all Tiger fans, you were shown up.

So, Haha...thanks for all the memories... We'll see you next November...best of luck, you'll need it.

War Eagle from sunny San Diego.

Hur Hur Hur

What did you say? 5-7? 36-0? That’s what I thought you said.

I hope you remember what a title feels like for a long time because it will be decades before your team competes for one.

It’s sad that you can’t support an SEC team in a bowl game and once again show hatred for your big brother.

What’s funny is you aren’t an Auburn fan. The Auburn fans I know actually went to the school and have respect for an SEC team in a bowl game. You are a backwoods peasant that doesn’t have the right to cheer for any team, much less Auburn. Thanks to all the respectful fans here.

I loved it!!

lol oh so he isn’t an auburn fan because he didn’t pull for bama in a bowl game!! Funny thing is me and a bunch of auburn GRADUATES watched the game and not a single of us were pulling for bama. I pull for every team in the SEC in the bowl games except bama.

He does make a good point we actually can go undefeated, be a sec champion and win the Sugar Bowl!

WAR DAMN EAGLE

Thank you mmaywareagle!!

This house of Auburn fans (2 graduates and their 2 kids) pull for EVERY other SEC team, but pulling for bama is just asking too much. Wasn’t last night priceless?

Did someone hurt your feelings?

Or is it just that you are upset because the whole nation knows that BAMA paid $4 MIL for a Classic Choke Job?

What?

You know what an SEC and Sugar Bowl title feels like? To my understanding, we have 21 SEC titles and many more Sugar Bowl victories than you—and don’t worry, we’ll win a BCS Bowl and SEC Title long before you and Mr. 5-19 ever will.

Oh well, I enjoyed watching the Sugar Bowl much more than I did the Opelika Toilet Bowl! I enjoy having Nick Saban as a coach, much more than I do Gene Cheezit! I enjoy having John Parker WIlson as a quarterback than I do Kodi Burns and Chris Todd (That’s saying something lol)! I enjoyed having Jim McElwain has an offensive coordinator, much more than I would having Otis Franklin (who was the Guz Malzahan of last season).

Good luck next year as you guys endure a 3-9 season. I guess after we dominate you guys (again), and ultimately end up in the Peach Bowl, you guys can say “we were the last team to win the Peach Bowl!” Whatever helps you cope with the fact that the dust has settled and both programs are back to where they rightfully belong.

Enjoy another below average recruiting class! And two years from now, don’t blame the epic fail that is to come on Gus Malzhan or any of the other coordinators in the way you done with Al Borges (who was a success) and Tony Franklin (who was a success at Kentucky and Troy St.). Blame it on Gene Cheezit for not having what it takes to compete, in terms of recruiting, with Nick Saban, Les Miles, Mark Richt, and Urban Meyer!

PS: Just imagine what this “non-BCS team” would’ve done to your little 5-7 program. Talk about an embarrassment, especially with a 5 win coach at the helm!

Interesting
You know what an SEC and Sugar Bowl title feels like?

Much more recently than you do, my friend. Last SEC title: Auburn 2004, Alabama 1999. Last Sugar Bowl title: Auburn 2004, Alabama 1992. There is probably a good number of your fans who have never felt winning the Sugar Bowl. None of your fans has felt winning a BCS game. The last time Alabama won a Sugar Bowl, I was 8 years old, and just beginning to enjoy watching football (and understand it).

the truth

IN YOUR FACE , ALABAMA,! You cannot say that the Utes are not good enough to be in the National Title conversation after that dominating win over a over rated alabama team. It wasn’t a fluke, it wasn’t luck, it was just total domination by the University of Utah. Alabama had only given up 13 sacks all season to the “best teams, best players, and best conference” and gave up EIGHT to a team that’s not even in a “real BCS conference.” Not to mention where was the rushing attack led by Bama’s huge, cannot be stopped offensive line. Don’t even comment about how, “well our best lineman was out, or we didn’t have our best game.” Don’t make excuses for your team’s lack to execute, lack of energy, and lack of showing up to play at all. In the first quarter it was over. Yeah you did have one play by a lucky player in Javier Arenas’s Punt return TD, but other than that, your team flat out sucked it up. Utah showed that they deserve everything they earned this year, and proved they should have had the chance to prove it against a better opponent. Congrats Utes

Oh! BTW, Bammers, if you guys haven’t noticed Auburn is on the “Up and Up”. Got some really solid hires in place.

Hmmmm, 12 wins. No SEC title and still no BCS win. Even our little “Cow” College has one of those!!! WDE

Buddy...

If you knew half of what I know about Barner boosters paying players, it would blow your mind. As I wrote further down in response to Matt, some of my biggest customers are AU alum and boosters. They are the the $100 handshake guys that you hear about. They are the guys that pay players for “working for them” for the summer. They are the guys that find jobs for the parents, and whoever school’s boosters can get daddy the best paying job is where the boy is going to play football. So take a step down from your high horse for just a second, and take a look at some of the coaches Chizik is going after. Trooper Taylor was Oklahoma State’s #1 “bagman” (i.e. pay some bills for a recruit for a month or two just to let the folks know their son was going to be taken care of. You know, stuff like that). And I’m not even scratching the surface, son. Enjoy mediocrity for a while, champ. Because mediocre is as good as it’s going to get for the next few years.

the AP coach of the year CHOKED in his two biggest games. sorry but the AP got this wrong. Turner Gill should have been coach of the year, or hell maybe even Utah’s coach Kyle Whittingham.
I always support the SEC in bowls, and if Bama wins at least it shows well for the SEC. but I will never be disappointed with a Bama loss. WAR DAMN EAGLE.

by Apeman3289 on Jan 4, 2009 7:13 PM CST reply actions

This just proves

That the AP shouldn’t be naming a “coach of the year” until all the college games are played. Once again, the AP has egg on its face…..

by Rene4AU on Jan 4, 2009 7:23 PM CST up reply actions

ROFLMAO!!!

With what, Kodi Burns? A defense that surrendered 36 points against an offense that could only muster out one offensive touchdown against two non-BCS schools (Tulane and Utah)? Gus Malzahan is your only hope for a mediocre season next year, but without the proper talent you can forget it.

Do you honestly think (in all seriousness) Coach Cheezit is even worthy of competing, at the least, with Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Mark Richt, and Les Miles? I’m sure even Ole Miss fans said the same with Ed Orgeron…

If Coach Cheezit had his backside handed to him with mediocre talent at Iowa State, what’s he going to do when Nick Saban, Mark Richt, and Les Miles faces him with superior talent?

Anyway… I’d much rather have a “choke-job” of a coach (who also has TWO SEC titles and ONE national title on his resume AND led both SEC schools he’s coached at to the SEC title game in only his SECOND year), than a coach that’s only won FIVE games (which is AS MANY as you guys won last year with a above average coach) IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER, any day of the week!

by TaylorTot on Jan 5, 2009 10:49 AM CST up reply actions

Based on what I saw Friday Night at the Sugar Bowl

Nick Saban does not deserve to be mentioned with the likes of Urban Meyer, Mark Richt, and Les Miles.

Not only was his entire coaching staff outcoached, but he stated several times in his own words that he didn’t know what happened. At $4 million a year, I would think that it would be part of his job to know what went wrong. I’m just glad that no one thinks it’s a big deal.

The problem with Auburn is not the talent. At the beginning of the season, Auburn was ranked in the top 10 and was picked by most of the experts to beat Alabama for the 7th consecutive year. The problem at Auburn was a combination of a complacent coaching staff along with an excessive number of injuries that began with the opening play of the first game and went downhill from there.

If you losers are happy with the $4 Million Dollar Choke King then I’m happy for you.

The bottom line is that when the cips were down, BAMA choked in their 2 biggest games of the year. BAMA had Florida on the ropes in the 3rd Quarter of the SECCG game and then didn’t bother to show up in the Sugar Bowl.

I wonder why all of the Roll Tide flags have dropped out of sight in South Alabama?

by 83Tiger on Jan 5, 2009 12:31 PM CST up reply actions

All of the Terd flags have disapppeared

by James4au on Jan 5, 2009 3:31 PM CST up reply actions

That's because the season is over.

Do you keep your Christmas lights up all year on your trailor. Oh, I’m sorry, bad example, huh? You may, but normal people don’t because that time of year is over. And, in contrast, Barner flags went down mid season, so I wouldn’t be talking much for a while.

My pride for my school goes beyond wins and losses, though football is by far my biggest interest these days.

by Mattco on Jan 5, 2009 6:43 PM CST up reply actions

Well, Mattco...

I admire your allegiance. That is something that is few and far between these days for Barners that I know. In fact, a couple of my customers, who are Auburn Alum and have been been boosters since the 60’s (you know, the kind that pay players, and get recruits’ parents a “jobs”, and perform other various tasks that could get AU on probation. Yeah it happens, alot). However, with the recent bad season, the firing of Tubs, and the hiring of an unproven coach, many of these guys have decided that they will no longer support AU financially with donations or even buying season tickets (which a few of them have had for longer than I’ve been alive).

Oh, and as far as the house flag goes, mine goes up in August and comes down in January. I can’t help it that my wife doesn’t particularly care for it being in front of our house all year, but that makes me no less of a Bama fan.

Lets not go crazy lampooning Bama for losing a BCS game. Thats pretty low rent, more their style. I would have loved to have been humiliated by Utah in the Sugar bowl, so I can’t say anything about their loss other than I wish it had been us. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing better than watching Alabama lose, but crowing about it…..especially after the year we’ve had is a little out of line. Besides arguing with a Turd fan about history is about as pointless as it comes, since they make it up as they go along.
So when it comes to Coaches, SEC titles and MNC’s I just suck it up, and wait hopefully for my team to do the talking. Hopefully Coach Chizik is up to the task of kicking that Turd ass.

I mean, if that’s what we’re doing here, then I’ve got seven (7) teams I’d like to congratulate this year. You see where I’m getting at, sport?

by tigertracks on Jan 7, 2009 4:25 PM CST up reply actions

You are so right...

Bama is a joke. I laughed my ass off all the way to 12 victories this year. I’ve got a joke for you: Your school fired argueably the best coach AU has ever had, and a hell of a man off the field. And who did you replace him with? A head coach who’s only experience as such brought him to 5 wins over 2 years, all on a team that had gone bowling 5 out of the 7 years before his arrival. And the DC? A guy who won 6 games over 5 years as a head coach, and was ranked 81st in defensive yards per game in his experience as a DC last year. But yeah, Bama is a joke. You had better hope that Coach Cheez-It has the same mentality as Tubs did as far as making NFL players out of 2 star recruits (which he did better than anyone I’ve ever seen), because 2 and 3 stars is all you’ll be seeing for a while.

I’m an engineer. But don’t worry, sport, finish up your senior year in high school and you’ll be here one day. Second, you cannot make a comeback without throwing out blanket statements that, in your opinion, fit the stereotype of a Bama fan. You either throw that out there or just use a few cuss words and call it a successful rebuttal. You probably even give your high school buddies a high five after you press “POST”. Lastly, don’t respond to this unless you can leave out the words: “Utah”, “trailor”, any cuss word, or any one word derogatory statement like “jerkoff”. Just call it an English or Debate project. That should keep you busy for a while.

I actually came over here to talk (in a possitive manner) about your coaching hires, and I see a post that says “Hey Bama” so I figure I need to come in and respond since I’m being summoned. It would be much like me saying, “Hey dickhead” and TigerTracks not responding. That would just be rude. But I see where you’re coming from, and I honestly do respect most of the regulars on here. Like I said, I just try to correct ignorance whenever I can. I hate when people embarrass themselves like that.

I concur

,,,,and my apoligies to all of my Auburn brothers and sisters and the Bama fans for my comments. I take offense to my Auburn brothers and sisters being attacked and got caught up in the argument.

Well, I can't delete it.

That’s not my choice but it’s good to see cooler heads prevail here. It is truly a blessing to see people calm down and understand each other. I’m going through losing a family member right now and it’s just good to see people being nice to each other. Thanks guys :-)

Thanks

It’s my grandfather. He’s basically been my real father throughout my life. He’s a vegetable now…rough stuff to see. For those of you who pray, please keep me in your prayers.
