The Barn Rising
Yep, I am totally stoaked for next season. MattCo is one of my best buds, and he and I chat about the status of our beloved school almost on a daily basis. I haven't been this excited about an upcoming season in YEARS. Except 2004- I saw that coming from a mile away.
Anyways, I digress...
Auburn, by all accounts, looks to be headed in a really good direction. I am excited about the Coleman's deciding to play together for one year!(Hey! At least, it's one year) And, what's funny, I know we will lose 4-5 games. But, I feel a real change coming on and that is so important to our school and our athletic program. I, for one, actually believe that there is a method to the madness that we call Jay Jacobs. If, things keep heading in the direction they seem to be, We may be kissing the man's hind-end real soon. Anyways....
I am sorry to those of you Tuberville fans that can't seem to get past his dismissal. It was for the best. And, with time, you will all see that! WDE
P.S. Any of you get a major kick out of Bammers fall from grace? I did! And, as I said before, TWELVE WINS....NO SEC TITLE.....STILL NO BCS WIN.....
EVEN THE "COW COLLEGE" HAS ONE OF THOSE!!!!
WDE!!!!

Yep
You are right. I see a great season coming also. In two years, we will be back in the SEC West race.
I got a real kick out of...
Watching this 12 win team obliterate your 5-7 team. Fall from grace? I would think losing seven games in one season would be a fall from grace… But considering “six in a row” no longer makes “the cow college” the more relevant program, I guess falling back on one BCS win does. Never fear though, we’ll win a BCS Bowl and an SEC title long before you guys ever will again. What’s your inferior pun going to be next year when Nick Saban plants his foot in Cheezit’s behind?
Ha!!
Once!!! Once!!! In 7 years and all of a sudden Bama’s relevant? Give me a break. If you’ve been watching the news Auburn’s got some good coaches coming in, and already has solid talent…..Just like a Bammer to start shit. JUST because your team laid down and died against Utah doesn’t give you the fortitude to come over here and rag us. Yes! You guys won! But, who won in the long run? I think we know that answer.
Enough Said...

When Alabama’s second string outperforms your first string, after Alabama’s first string bent you over and planted a mammoth one in you, one would think you’d have the intelligence to keep your mouth shut, but common sense isn’t a top priority for a school that evolves around rodeos and trailer parks.
You all should be thankful you didn’t win five games this year, or else Troy State would’ve literally pounded your heads into the ground in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl.

,,,,,,do you go around posting the same comments on all blogs? Can’t you come up with something different to say on each post? Come on, BOY,,,,,,be creative and use that trailer park edumacation you got.
The jury's still out...
…..as far as any predictions from me, for next season. Won’t really have any idea, till I see the A-Day playback a few times.
…..Defense: With Coleman back, we’ll be solid, at least, on the line. Linebacker is a real worry. Secondary: good corners, safeties need coaching up. We still really have no clue who’s going to be running the defense, other than at linebacker.
…..Special Teams: We could be really good, here. Good players returning. As long as a new special teams coach doesn’t screw ’em up…
……Offense: Potentially good line. Hurting BADLY at receiver and blocking skill positions (tight end and fullback). Some good tailbacks. QB… don’t want to think about that. Even with a power-I offense, the QB is the focal point. I know this… We’ve GOT to be able to throw the ball from the center of the field to the sideline, and downfield more than 20 yards. And get it to the receiver. Right now… we don’t have that. Any spread is going to be jello, unless that gets fixed.
…..Remember how, when I was previewing the Iron Bowl, I said that we HAD to get the ball to the outside receivers, and work the sides of the field? Utah knew. Every time Bama thought they had the Utes stopped, there was another hitch/curl/out to the outside guy for another first down. Bama likes to defend from the inside-out. Take away the inside guys, and make you go outside. Utes hurt ’em there, all game long. Made me sick. I think our outside guys had two catches against Bama…
…..There’s a WHOLE lotta fixin’ to be done, on the offense. We’ve got a guy who’s famous for fixing broken offenses. Can he do it in one off-season? Not sure, at all. It will be interesting to watch, though!
I agree...
…..Hey, is Aaron Savage coming back? No one has mentioned him. He was out for the season, and I haven’t heard a peep concerning him. I think the defense will be good enough-I actually think LB won’t be that big of a problem. Eltoro is going to wreak havoc. On offense, the answer can’t be Burns. He just isn’t good enough. I think Barret Trotter may be the near-future. He is rather mobile, and I think with a little tutalage he could be a solid passer too!
WDE
Way too early to count out Burns......
let someone who knows how to coach a QB (Malzahn I hope can) get hold of him……it he can’t cut it then so be it. But you can’t honestly judge by last years dysfunctional family debaucle stand as a representative of what the youngster can or can’t do. Remember Jason Campbell? Barrett Trotter may very well be the answer but I will wait and see.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
ArieGold, Aairon Savage redshirted last year and yes, he will be playing probably the number 2 CB spot next year. I’m not sure if he’s a Jr or Sr next year though. on the LBs, I don’t see that as a big problem either. Blackmon should be coming back for the Middle spot, and Bynes will probably take an outside spot. Then there’s Eltoro too. They’re all solid. And on QBs, I haven’t given up on Burns yet. I’m holding out for a breakthrough, like with J Campbell

It'll be interesting to see
what Burns is capable of with better coaching.
yep
just go back and watch some of his high school stuff on you tube,,, it shows what he’s capable of.
Don't give up on Kodi yet.
The kid has a solid arm and can run. He basically hasn’t had any coaching the last couple of years. If you remember even Brandon Cox, a solid technical QB, got worse the longer he played under Tubby/Borges/Ensminger. It is a marvel that we did as well as we did the last few years given the shoddy coaching on the offensive side of the ball. I think Malzahn will really do some good things with Kodi and hopefully Coach Chizik will stick to what he knows best and not hamstring the offense like Tubbs used to do.
On what day did the Lord create Bear Bryant and couldn't he have rested on that day too?
