This is why I am happy
There is one reason that I am very happy about Randle coming into town this weekend, our new coaches have some asperation finally. This is something that Tuberville and his staff lacked, goals. Chizik has apparently told the staff to go after guys and hope that we grab one or two and this is a great mentality to have. It is like the hot girl at the bar, you have to try to get her.
This mentality will really help us whether we get any of them or not, at least they are making an effort to try to get them to come. I sometimes get bored and look at the recruiting board on Rivals and I noticed about 4 5star recruits on our board the other day and today there are a few more and a few more people are taking visits.
While this might not make a difference this year, I really believe that if we show good improvement on the offensive side of the ball and can win 7 or 8 next year, the recruiting will be much better next year.

Well...
With Trooper Taylor now on the staff, I think y’all have about as good a chance as Bama of getting Randle. I think LSU is in the lead simply because of geography, and I think we are both a close second. He’s going to be an amazing addition and make an immediate impact to whatever school he decides on.

And put another way using basketball terminology...
It is like the hot girl at the bar, you have to try to get her.
You can’t score (no reference intended here to the girl in the statement above,…:-)…),…if you don’t at least shoot.
War Eagle!
Randle didn't grow up an LSU fan...
So he’s not an LSU lock by any means.
I’d rather him end up at AU than Bama that’s for sure, but in the end I think he ends up at LSU. I think the tide has turned for the worse in Tuscaloosa for Randle (no pun intended). I think he saw the future of Bama’s o-line play in the Sugar Bowl, and fears it. Remember those shirts the Bammers made last year?
Plus, if somehow AU did move into second place with this kid, and he “eliminated Bama from consideration” and it was down to LSU, AU, and OU, that would really send a message even if AU didn’t land him.

Randle is a flashy player and I think he’ll seriously consider Auburn for 3 main reasons.
1. Trooper Taylor/Curtis Luper (he has stated he wanted to play for Luper, but also play in the SEC. well now he can do both since Luper’s at Auburn)
2. He will be literally THE star. if he went to Bama he’d be the shadow of Julio Jones. LSU he’d be the shadow of Brandon Lafell.
3. He’d make an IMMEDIATE impact here. He would start first string and could really be the playmaker that we’ve desperately needed.
I really hope we could get someone like him, he’s this years Julio/AJ Green. Not saying we NEED him, but we just lost Chris Slaughter at WR (which by the way, does anybody have more info on why he left? there have been no details whatsoever.)
rumors around
I have heard grumblings of grades but no one has officially said anything and nothing is out there solid.
So much for wishful thinking...

When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.
Plus.
You must not have read the post to start with. I said that I am happy since they are out there not giving up on recruits, they are trying to fight for them. This will help us next year and the year after, I thought we might grab one or two unexpected recruits this year though.
Of course not...
You guys have the stud Julio Jones. Can players leave after their sophomore year, because I can tell for sure he’s leaving as soon as he gets a chance. And, a change of schedule isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I mean hell, he might think the school is flexible and like that about Auburn. They’re willing to work with him and be fair. We are doing a lot of work it seems here lately, but as I’ve said that’s what I expect. I’m just not sure why you felt it necessary to send a post saying wishful thinking to us. That does seem like blatant instigation about a player you don’t even think is all that great. Oh well, I could be wrong but it does seem that way.
You can only leave after your sophomore year if you redshirted one year
So Julio will be around for at least another 2 years

I was talking about HIGH
in the regard that i think he’s coming to bama so i don’t even pay it that much attention. If i had not posted the link would you have known? Cared? With as much crap as both fan bases take from eachother a little light humor doesn’t hurt.

that should read
DON"T think he’s coming

I was partly agreeing with you.
Now, I understand what you meant. Besides, you’ve got Julio Jones so you don’t really need another really good receiver. And, I actually feel like he’s overated myself to tell you the truth. (The Recruit not Jones) But, you never know with recruits. They may turnout great they may turn out awful and overated.
With that said
I wouldn’t mind him coming out here at all. And, we’ll treat him like a member of the Auburn family. I fell in love with AU when I was there, so he might when he visits. Plus, us making moves on guys like this is what we should do. Any school should go after someone they think is really good and could really help him. Why not? I mean, I don’t see a reason not to try for the best.
