Auburn Had a Football Team...

Georgia_was_a_pup_medium

When Georgia was a Pup!

War Eagle, everybody! Tonight, the Auburn Tigers try to roll it up on the Georgia Bulldogs! There's a lot riding on this game, for the Tigers. With a win, the Tigers would almost certainly be in a New Year's Day bowl, likely the Cotton. (Anyone else interested in seeing the new Jerryland stadium?) An Auburn loss might pave the way to Shreveport. Should Auburn lose, it would be the first time to lose 4 in a row to the Bulldogs since World War Two.

The key to this game will be how well the Auburn offense runs. The line needs to have a great game, and we need to take care of the ball. If we can get the ball moving, I think Georgia will make enough mistakes to fall behind. Auburn cannot drop the ball on the ground, or put together strings of three 'n' outs.

Once again, I'm going to have to spend at least some of this game on earbuds with Stan and Rod, rather than in front of the TV. I am hoping to be home by halftime, and right here on this thread! This has been a ridiculous fall with obligations during Auburn football games. Next year, I'm turning everyone down during football Saturdays. And I can tell you this: NOTHING will get me out from in front of the TV, on Black Friday, this year! (Except free tickets..)

As always, feel free to chime in and cheer on the Tigers! This game may be one for the ages! War Eagle! Glory to Auburn!

War Eagle!

I am excited for Auburn tonight! If we can establish a balanced offense, I think that we can take it to the Bulldogs.

I'm off to Athens!!

On what day did the Lord create Bear Bryant and couldn't he have rested on that day too?

Annnddd....

THanks for all you do Acid and I hate to miss out on the thread tonight but I’ll be in attendance with my fiends who went to UGA, reveling in the choice I made to go to Auburn!!! It is this reason why I love Auburn so much. Athens just doesn’t compare. Yeah Athens has its plus’, great music scene and alternative lifestyles forums, great if you want to be a libieral hippy lawyer! The Auburn I know and love is about as opposite as you can get from that. I love Auburn and its people, good honest hardworking folks. The kind that will eventually save this country when all the selfish liberal a-holes eventually end up devouring each other in their desire to impose their will on everyone.

Sorry, got off on a screed.

Anyway, I won’t be airing my frustrations on another Ziemba false start or missed tackle by defensive player X here on the thread. So you’re welcome in advance. I will be liteally screaming my lungs out DEEEEP in enemy territory surrounded by vicious bulldog fans…all by myself. GOD HELP THEM!!!!

Actually my UGA friends are great folks and good hosts. We’ll have a great time tailgating….grilling steak sandwiches and imbibing copious amounts of Yuengling, Guiness and Jamesons. CAR BOMB anybody? If you’re going to the game and happen to be going by the Pharmacy building, I’m sure I will be the only guy around in a Ben Tate jersey. Come by and say hey to the Colonel and we’ll have a beer together!!

I hope everybody has a good time tonight and sends good, focused, positive MISTAKE free, vibes to our young warriors. If we play focused and disciplined football, I am confident that we win this game. Both teams should be relatively healthy and have something to prove to themselves. Its gonna be a war…and I’ll take Auburn in a war anyday of the week!

WAAAAAARRRRRREAGLE HEY!! BET THE DAWGS!!!

On what day did the Lord create Bear Bryant and couldn't he have rested on that day too?

Oh, you're not the only one...

…..to go ballistic on a player for messing up! I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve screamed at the TV! It’s part of the game!

…..Guinness is a truly great beer, even if they do put that annoying plastic widget inside the bottle of the draught…

by Acid Reign on Nov 14, 2009 11:15 AM CST up reply actions

Boddingtons

is a better beer in my opinion than Guinness, if you are not familiar with it it is as thick and creamy as Guinness, but is much lighter in color. Also if you can find Murphy’s it is a great Guinness substitute as well.

Can't Wait

I’m trying my hardest to go to Auburn once I graduate high school. Sounds like the greatest college in the country.

Hopefully we settle down and get back to what we were doing in the 1st quarter.

We can hold their offense easy

Just get a tackle for loss on an early down, because they don’t have the firepower to convert 3rd and longs. Our offense will get kicking again soon enough

Hopefully our defense can cause a turnover

on this next drive for Georgia, would be awesome to have an INT about now … I’ll even take a fumble. I just want the ball back again.

I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though. If next year is like this year it’s time to cut him loose. No wonder he hardly ever won at Duke

As I said, they’re getting them. They’re just not getting the same hype as the offensive skill players-it’s always been that way.

Oh absolutely...Todd has thrown 2 INT's tonight

So they definitely get some of the blame. But the defense has allowed Georgia to run all over them.

BALLGAME..........INCOMPLETE

We’ll lose to the Dawgs.

This was a complete failure on both offense and defense. Special teams was MUCH better this week. But we get next week off and get to focus on Bama.

Auburn Football 2009

Auburn is sucking a big one. We can’t even handle GAWGA when they are having the worst year they’ve had in five or six years.

Our offensive line SUCKS. No blocking big A_ _ Dummies who can’t pass block, and when they do, Happy Howard Cox throws an interception right to a GAWGA defensive back with no white Auburn jersey within 25 yards of him.

It’s tough to be an AUBURN TIGER in GAWGA

Nah

That pick was because of shitty pass blocking man.

The BAMA game

Strap up your jock straps. BAMA is going to stem roll the non-existent Auburn Offensive Line.

I’ve never seen poorer run or pass blocking.
