Auburn posse: coming to a town near you!!

I’d pay dollars to donuts to see Tracy Rocker suit it up for 10 minutes against his disciples on the practice field.

Trooper Taylor: meet a Russell county Trooper…

Impressive

I am only 24 so I played highschool football only a few years ago, but when I was a senior we had 6 guys go DI for football. Being from Plano, TX teams from , OU, Oklahoma St, Texas, Texas Tech all visited our school to recruit my friends. Those visits consisted of 1 guy from a school showing up trying to snag 4 star LB’s and OL. This is very impressive.

I'm with you....

everyone is making so much out of the Limo that they are over looking the obvious appeal to these kids. 7 Coaches from one university are coming to their school to talk to their coach about them. No one does that. Atleast not until just before signing day. Say what you want but that has got to be impressive to the recruits.

Rolling out the red carpet

Its funny, I figured that it was the 7 coaches sitting in an office with the HS’s head coach talking football. But this was more of a diplomatic meet and greet session. Where the HS’s head coach was giving them a tour of the facilities. Please tell me that there is more to these visits than just this kind a casual encounter. “Hello i’m ______. Pleased to meet you. Yada, Yada, Yada. Nice to meet you, Goodbye.”

Now on the wow side. I liked them in the hallways while classes were let out. Nice touch. I bet those guys stuck out big time.

Even with the meet and greet aspect of it, i’m glad they are doing this. Limo asside, having all 7 of them doing this together is what i like the most. Having all 7 in the school at once may really get these recruits atleast looking our way. By just doing that it gets our foot in the door. If we are a good enough salesman (i.e. Saban) thats all we’ll ever need to seal the deal. Now only that it allows the HS coach to get to know all these coaches and not just 1 or 2 of them. “The more you know” *********** (tried to do the lil stars but…)

Goodluck guys. make everyone look….. Which reminds me. I think its hilarious how every news station in the state and neighboring states have something about it on their nightly news. Everytime a bammer sees it i bet their skin just crawls. See thats another positive!

From a logistics standpoint....

I get it. Every kid already knows every coach from every other school in the SEC and this is a way for them to get introduced in one swoop. I just think the Limo was a bit… goofy is the word I guess. Also having every coach untuck his shirt to seem “laid back” is kinda funny/appealing in an “my old man still thinks he’s cool” kind of way.

Oh and my skin doesn’t crawl. My coaches have been talking to those kids for a long time.

I understand that...

“Oh and my skin doesn’t crawl. My coaches have been talking to those kids for a long time.”

Thats the reason that i believe Auburn will have an ok recruiting class this year and turn in an even better one the following. Saban has been on these kids for atleast 2 years now. So they are very familier with him and alabama. These coaches and this system is brand new to them. It will take time to get into the minds of recruits. Thats why i believe that sophomores and freshmen will be more susceptible to this “Tiger Prowl”. As their recruitment process is still in its earliest stages.

The skin crawl statement isn’t directed at the thought that we will be taking all your recruits, rather it is just the simple fact that alabama fans will have to see all this play out in the TV news every night for a week. I know my skin crawls everytime i see the midget on TV.

Malzahn

Did anyone else notice that Coach Malzahn seems a bit out of his element? He was quite standoff-ish. I guess he does not remember his days at Fayetteville High, when he was on the other side of this. It was only a few years ago. How quickly we forget :)

Don't let the Bammers kid you...

their skin is crawling…whether they say it or not. Paul Finebaum’s show talked of nothing else today…Paul was switching gears from earlier in the week when he laughed at the idea…now saying that Auburn had most of the media attention this week which was a positive for recruiting. Soon, every angry Alabama fan was calling in talking about how this didnt matter, that Saban was above this..that they were not worried….
Finally Paul had to say….guys..you are proving my point!
Its obvious that they are worked up about it, otherwise we wouldnt be hearing how it isnt bothering them.

You're right...

My skin is crawling; however it won’t nearly be as bad as yours will when Alabama cleans up the state, posting another impressive recruiting ranking while you guys fall very far behind once again!

Got Saban?

I did notice

that Gus was a bit silent. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that makes a big first impression…..rather a guy that once he talks football he can ge your excited about how his mind works. I lived In Arkansas and worked in West Memphis the year he smashed them in the SC. It was one hell of a show to watch…..West Memphis was a very hardened and tough team and Malzahn made them look foolish. I know it’s only high school, but this was very good compitition and the tactical brillance of Malzahn’s team was apparant. His team was very clean and crisp……and would frggin knock your head off…lots of great hits in that game!!
