And the new starting QB for AU is......

not likely to be Tyrik Rollison.  As you may or may not know it is being reported that nothing is being said about the QB competition and any potential trimming down (as of tonight anyway) the QB competition.  But if you look at the not so subtle hint that was left when its being reported that Burns, Caudle, and Todd were taking snaps from the first team but Rollison and Moseley were taking snaps from the second team.  It seems that  Chizik and Mahzahn lived up to their promise to let him compete and he will now be a great asset and QB for AU in the future.  I am not happy if this is the case, which it certainly appears this way at least to me, that Rollison is apparently not the guy this year. But I am happy that the QB competition will most likely have 3 competitors for at the very least the next few days or so and that it will soon be two or one.  I think that Rollison should be proud that he got the look he has and that he performed well and realize that he is the QB of the future for Auburn.  I am speculating all of this of course but it does seem this way to me.......if I am wrong you can all pile on and rag me about it later.  Anyone agree or disagree......I don't know maybe its the Gentleman Jack but thats what I pull from it.

No crime in being wrong. We are all speculating at this point. You have a right to your opinion.

If the two rookies were with the second team, your reasoning that the coaches have decided to red shirt them is not out of line with what they have been saying. And to be fair, learning a whole playbook in a few months might be a daunting task, although it has been done.

The vets are going to get the attention because of their experience. But at least the rookies are getting a chance to show their stuff.

If a rookie was so darn good you just had to day he was head and shoulders above the vets, then you have some serious sleepless nights ahead of you.

Todd has experience, good accuracy, slow legs, and how long will his shoulder hold out. He might know the playbook pretty well.

Kodi can run, is physically strong, but has iffy accuracy. How well can he make reads? Does he know the playbook? There were statements made last year that Franklin was having to pare down the plays because of some difficulty in the latter regard.

Caudle. Small game performance data set to draw on. Has physical durability question, better than fair accuracy, limited game day experience.

We may have serious sleepness nights ahead of us then...

Let Rollison play. I mean, my gosh, if our QB situation is as bad as it seems and an upperclassmen can’t separate himself, then it’s time to move on. Rollison may very well be the best QB on our roster right now. It’s ridiculous that a senior and two juniors can’t step up, take the reigns of this offense and be a leader for the team.

The longer it goes that a starting QB isn’t named, the greater Rollison’s chances of starting get. In my opinion.

Rollison will the starter at some point this season. Mark my words.

Let Rollinson

Mature then play…. Im willing to say next year when bigger and stronger he will have the ability to go with the confidence…. Dont send him out there to fail which is what will happen. Right now he is invinsible in his mind. Get him out there against a top 10 defense and then you will see what happened to kodi burns confidence gone ability suffers.

Will hell

if we can get him invisible on the field and not just in his mind, I say go ahead and let him play. If they can’t see him how can they tackle him.
