Fly Like an Eagle!
War Eagle, everybody! It's another day of college football, and not even gray skies can dampen our enthusiasm! Auburn plays host to the West Virginia Mountaineers tonight, at Jordan Hare stadium. It's a great chance for the program to take a major step forward. As always, feel free to chime in on this thread, with any observations you have!
Some of you may wonder, tonight, where my usual play-by-play is in this space. I'll be at the game this time, and not at the keyboard! We're probably going to find out if being there in the rain, is better than the easy chair and the TV. I'm hoping to do my part to make Jordan Hare Stadium a loud, raucous environment for the Mountaineers!
War Eagle, and I'll have grades up sometime Sunday morning before noon!

The Weather Channel says
100% chance of thunderstorms during the game. Ugh. Good thing we’re a running offense and WVU is a passing offense.

Wow
I bet Acid Reign is regretting making the trip now. We just look completely lifeless.
Need to capitalize
We need to capitalize on this fumble recovery.
Touchdown Auburn!!!
Todd to Zachary for the TD! Still down by 4 but looking a LITTLE better. Hopefully this jumpstarts our defense.
Containment
We need to contain Devine or we are in for a long night.
Tackling
Is it just me or is our tackling lacking? We seem to make contact but not wrapping them up and they escape.
Our D is not playing worth a crap
We have to step it up. UNREAL THIS IS PISS POOR. WE NEED TO GET TO TOGETHER AND PLAY AUBURN FOOTBALL
Press Pause
I wish this was NCAA College Football on the PS3. I’d pause the game, call a timeout and tell the whole D to tackle better. This is ridiculous.
Now that we’ve had a full quarter to see this WV offense in person, I hope we are making the adjustments now to firm up the D for the next three quarters.
UGA
Unbelievable comeback by UGA in the first half of that game. Arkansas was dominating the first quarter, plus. Pretty wild.
Some of the worst tackling I have seen in a long time
Pathetic
If hip hop is dead, then it happened the day that Dilla died.
-Akrobatik
We need a few three and outs
and to pound Tate up the middle like last year. This will open it up for Todd.
Lots of game left.
Despite the amount of offense we’ve seen played by both sides, there are three quarters left. I’m with you AU04Natlchamps. We can do this.
Embarrasing
This is quite embarrasing. We look so bad compared to last week. I don’t know what changed in the meantime but Chizik needs to do something…..
D needs to step up right now
This is a turning point in our season a comeback win will show character and give us this confidence needed to compete in the SEC West
Todd
needs to step up and produce something. Needs to prove he can be a real leader for this team.
Lack of effort
It looks like there is a lack of drive in the d-line right now. They just dont seem to care almost.
Adjustments
Hopefully the Tigers will come out strong the second half like they have been doing. We need to pray that Chizik and his crew can make some great halftime adjustments.
I have faith In Chizik
This team is a dynamically different team from last year. They believe in the system. Neiko Thorpe is a potential All American next year he is a stud. WE need a big play out f Coleman. WAR EAGLE LET’S WILL OUR TIGERS TO A VICTORY.

This half will shape our season
I feel like we have what it takes we need to shut Devine and that mobile quarterback down
Tacklilng
Poor tackling by the D is keeping them on the field too long.
Another pick
+3 on turnovers tonight. If it wouldn’t be for that we’d be hurtin’
It doesn't have to be pretty
a win is a win
And a pick 6 for Stephens! WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Capitalize on errors
It seems that we have that one down!
You said it
It was good to see effort through 4 full quarters. I don’t remember seeing that all last year. Hopefully the team has bought into CGC’s plan and they start to believe!
Good Game
Not entirely happy about our D but they did get 6 turnovers. I say a few of you guys should go over to the WVU blog and give them heck for all they’ve done this week to us and said about us. Their SEC streak is over and our win streak endures one more game. Now let’s take care of Ball State before continuing SEC play!!!
Love Jesus and then Football.
WAR DAMN EAGLE
This win shows grit and will be a catalyst towards what I believe to be a 10 win season. WAR WAGLE EVERYONE. What a comeback. Wow. It’s great to be a Auburn Tiger !!

Hard Fought by the Tigers
Way to keep it going in there tonight! I’m sure a lot of us were flipping out in the first quarter but obviously the defense made some adjustments and saved this game. WAR DAMN EAGLE! I’ve got faith that our coaches are going to adjust throughout each game and the season. It is truly great to be an Auburn Tiger!
It wasn't pretty but...
… good teams find a way to win. And that’s the bottom line. You can look into yardage and stats all you want, at the end of the day, winning is the only thing that matters, and we did that against a quality team tonight. WAR DAMN!!!

Underestimated WVU
I have no one, but myself to blame for the ulcer that I developed last night. I didn’t think WVU had a good ball team, and I was wrong. BUT…AU had a better team. I was glad to see a much improved special teams, and grateful for ALL the adjustments made on defense. What impressed me the most…was that obviously WVU came into the Plains with the mindset to stop the run (and they did for the most part), but Chris Todd can throw the ball! He made a couple of bad throws and decisions, but made ALL the right calls when it mattered MOST. I am beyond excited for what this season holds for the team, school, and fans. “I believe in Auburn, and love it!” War Eagle!!
Hate to say
West Virinia beat itself more than Auburn beat them. To the guy near the top of the post, yeah, you looked bad last night because you played a team with a pulse. I am sticking to my prediction “only 6 wins for auburn this year”
Keep on predicting doom and gloom troll.....
and AU will continue to show that you know nothing about football or our team.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
