Rant... Standing Up at the Game
After reading Acid’s post, I should have walked away with all sorts of knowledge because he sure does bring it. But you know what stood out to me? The part about people behind him complaining about him standing. Let me preface this by saying, I have been going to
So here is my story. If you come here often you know that I gave up my season tickets before this season. There were a few factors in making that decision, but times change. Other things in life take priority over paying TUF a good portion of my annual salary. In my years as a season ticket holder, I got to know the people behind us, and they were the main reason we never attempted to "upgrade" to a better location. I would not say that we were friends per se, but I know his name, his wife’s name, and their child’s name. We exchanged phone numbers and have talked on occasion. I always looked forward to hanging out with them for a few hours on a Saturday and watching our Tigers play. Every season… and I will repeat every season some "new" group of people would have seats behind us. Game one, it was the same thing. "Sit Down. You are not in the student section any longer." I always wanted to say, No kidding, I am 30, and if I was a student, I would be over there, and most likely drinking." But I never did. I was always polite and told them that I would be standing until
Fast forward to Saturday night. I scored some great seats from a friend and was really looking forward to sitting there with my Step-Father, sister, and good friend. My friend also married a
Most peoples fun stopped either when Zac got burned for the 60 yard pass that led to the opening TD or the Noel Divine 70 yard run that was their second score. I saw neither of those, you know why? Because I had some older folks who thought it was a good thing to keep tapping me on the shoulder and telling me to sit down. They were two rows behind me. I am quite tall, but these folks were two rows behind me. Deal with it. I had just sat through maybe the worst rain I have ever seen at an outdoor event, and I wanted
Next thing I know, my friend and I are getting "talked" to by the 20-25 year olds sitting in the row behind us. One was a Gator (he was proudly displaying his attire) and another was a UGA guy. We know this because we talked to them pregame. The
As I turned back to watch
I must say it was quite cool watching the Gator getting tossed, but when the cop came back and talked to me like I was a dog, that was another matter. As I mentioned earlier, I am a grown man. I was standing/sitting with my family doing nothing wrong. There were plenty of kids in front of us, there was no chance that I was cussing or being belligerent… as he so pleasantly put it. Why did Officer Wilson of the Sheriffs office have to be such a Richard. That is another matter all together, and I will let that go for now!!
Why do people expect other people to sit down at a ball game? While I was a student, we stood the whole game. While I was a season ticket holder we stood for about 70 percent of the game. Every away game I have ever been to, the entire section stood. I don’t care if you were 18 or 80 years old. You stood. But every time I stood on Saturday, I could feel people’s eyes burning holes through me.
If I get that way when I am older, I am pretty sure I would either sit at home and watch it, or make sure that the Athletic Dept. knew I had an issue and needed to be in a certain location. I know that they have sections for that. I have seen them and the Americans with Disabilities Act demand it. These people were not 75 or 80. They were in their 60s for sure, but all seemed to be in good health. Standing for some of the game would not have hurt them I am sure.
Sorry for the rant… but after reading Acid’s post I had to tell my story. I would rather put up with a terrible opponents fan, then have to listen to people tell me to sit down.
LOOK AROUND PEOPLE…

That drives me nuts as well. The last several games I have been to, I have encountered the same thing. I can’t understand why people like that come to the game. If you are not excited about the game, then just stay home.

During key plays,
I often stand… and I’m in 1000 miles away watching the game on TV!!! My wife makes fun of me because I’m either standing, or literally on the edge of my seat. She just doesn’t understand.
Commitment
That is what that is….

These people are bad AU Fans!!!
I HATE it when fellow Auburn fans tell me to sit down. I had a similar experience at the 04 SEC Championship game in ATL. A Miss State fan and some AU fans told me to sit down. I told the AU fans I’m going to stand and enjoy the game and cheer for my team. I told the State fan quit being bitter about never having a chance to play or win the game.
i graduated in 98
came back in 2004 for a game
stood up for auburn’s first defensive series…i was not drunk or yelling obscenities
i was told to sit down by 40 year old couple
i responded sarcastically with no cussing that i would do no such thing
they went to get a sherriff’s deputy
he said, “You have to sit down or i will make you sit down” talking to me as i if i was a dog
i then made a mistake by telling the deputy “Sir, you can’t make me do anything”
i was promptly yanked by the arm into the aisle and dog-cussed until he tried to fling me to the ground outside the gate
at one point on my escort out, i said “sir, i am not cussing you, is it necessary for you to dog-cuss me?”
not a good experience
I'm proud of you, guilded
My how you have changed since that fateful night in Gaineville at the UT-VaTech bowl game!

How strange...
The exact same thing happened to Acid Reign and I in the seats owned by his brother’s company. As people in front of me stood, we would also stand in order to see the game. Then an old crab, who apparently is always in those seats behind us, decided to voice his displeasure to me and said loudly, why don’t you sit the hell down so we can see the damn game? Astonished, I yelled back to him that people in front of me were standing, thus I had to stand, too. His solution? Telling me to make the rows in front of me sit down. At that point, I had enough, and told him straight to his face something that sounded a lot like Go F*ck Yourself. Then his son decided to jump in and it was game on! We exchanged some more words as I prepared for a physical altercation and we made such a scene that everyone around us knew what idiots they were.
As a matter of fact, the people in front of us applauded me for telling him off, as they were regulars in those seats and stated that the man was always moaning about fans’ standing up. For the rest of the game, I stood when I wanted and made loud references with the people sitting around me, making jokes one after another. Even a guy next to me named Lance was ready to throw down with the Geritol gang behind us. Had I known what possible trouble you could get into from the comment by ‘Guilded’, I might have acted differently, but this guy had it coming. He never asked politely for me to do anything, he simply flew off the handle and thus had his courtesy repaid ten-fold.
Guys, I got news for you. This is a damn football game, not a dinner party. Are you really worried about comfort after you had to swim up to the stadium? I like sitting my ass down most of the time, too, and I don’t like it when only one or two people are standing, but when scores of people in front of you stand, it’s probably for a good reason and not to do the 7th inning stretch. Stand up briefly. Call it a vertical WAVE if you want. It ain’t gonna last forever. Go with it. If you’re THAT docile a fan, you’re probably better off at home anyway. Let some more enthusiastic fan have the ticket.

These people act like they are at some english tea party. It just does not make sense for these people to come to the game. 20 years ago, I don’t ever remember standing up at games being a problem because everyone stood most of the game. It was just the way it was and was considered the norm. But now, every time I go to a game someone is complaining about it. What’s next? No more yelling/cheering loudly? No saying, “War Damn Eagle?” No pom-poms? No drinking in the stadium? Oh wait…

Middle ground
Seems to me there should be some middle ground here. Yes, it’s completely unreasonable for someone to ask fans to sit down during a crucial drive or an exciting play. But I think it’s equally wrong for some self-absorbed twit to stand the whole game and force others to do the same. It comes down to basic courtesy. Do you consider others at all or do you just act like a petulant toddler and insist on YOUR way the entire game (sitting or standing)?
Deliver me from these narcissistic “fans.”
Narcissistic "fans"....
lol thats freaking funny I don’t care who you are…..what are they doing constantly standing to get a better view of themselves on the jumbotron? Or did they all bring mirrors to endulge themselves with the sight of their own face? All kidding aside….when something happens which means pretty much anytime the ball is snapped people are going to stand and yell. Get over it…..basic courtesy? If you came to the football game to sit and have a quiet evening then your a little out of touch about what football is. Plainly put, when everyone in front of you stands you gotta stand or not see the play.
I will not sit during the play, I will not sit if someones in the way, neither night nor day, Sam-I-am.
And to think you joined our esteemed AU blog to rant about someone standing in front of you? Really? Is that your only contribution? Nothing about football? Could you possibly have something to add of substance or are you just some contrarian old fart that shoulda stayed home and watched it on T.V. rather than get up and yell and scream for your team and make it harder on the opposing team (you know kinda like “home field advantage”). Just sayin.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
And one other thing.....
at what point during last Saturday night would you say was not a crucial drive or defensive stand? Get off your high horse.

Todd92, I guess you didn’t read my post very carefully. Maybe your lips got tired.
How do you know what I do in the stands? I guess I’ll tell you since I evidently need your approval to post on this blog. Saturday night I was up and down in my seat like a jack-in-the-box. So was everybody around me. A few of the folks in front of me stood up a bit longer than I’d have prefered, but then again, it’s not all about me. They were enjoying the game and I wasn’t planning on disrupting their good time. I was among a mix of Auburn people of all ages, none of whom I knew, but all of whom were having fun.
By not reading my post carefully, you missed the whole point. Nor do you seem to have a good handle on the definition of “rant,” since my post was about as irenic as it could be. You proved the old adage about the word “assume.” You’ve assumed my age, you’ve assumed I advocated that fans sit the entire game, and you’ve assumed I have no right to post because I responded to a blog entitled “rant.”
It might be in your best interest to take off the “I would have gone to bammer . . .” end line until you can read a little better. And by the way, spell “endulge” with an “i.”
War Eagle, Testosterone Todd!
Well while I'm still trying.....
to figure out irenic, I’ll say this. In your post I assume that you are talking about the people who stood in front of you that “stood a little longer than you would have liked” and my only question is…..which is it were they just people trying to have a good time or were they narcissistic “fans” who act like petulant toddlers? Which still sounds like they carry around mirrors to look at themselves rather than watch the game. And pardon my hasty typing for any spelling errors…..I certainly wouldn’t want you to miss any “irony” that might exist in one of my post.
War Eagle, Grandma Sam-I-am!
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
Todd92,
Let’s see. We have a stadium full of people with a wide array of preferences as to how to enjoy the game. Your brand of being a fan trumps anyone else’s. It’s all about you. Nietzsche reveled in that kind of will-to-power but I detest it.
We live in a time when civility and graciousness have nearly disappeared. Thank you for proving my point.
The couple in front of me were having a great time. I’d rather suffer a minor inconvienience any day than rain on their parade. They seemed to be good folks and were certainly good fans.
Let me give you a little advice about debates. If you can’t win the argument via logic, it’s juvenile to resort to ad hominem attacks.

Granny let me give you some advice.....
if you come into a sports blog referring to people as “petulant toddlers” and “narcissistic” you should expect someone to point out the absurdity. And when someone does point out the absurdity of it you resort to nit picking at that persons mispelling of a word…..which adds to the absurdity. I apologize for misinterpreting your vague post….if indeed thats what I did….but it sounds to me like your one of the people tapping someone on the shoulder and asking them to sit down, which during a football game is…well simply put, absurd. As far as civility I will admit that blogsites are one place that civility is not observed as much as maybe it should be, but a back handed compliment or a snoody remark is lacking in civility as well. As far as “my brand of fan trumps everything else” no I’m not asking anyone to do anything other than be happy in their own skin and enjoy the game however they like……you won’t see me asking someone to sit down, stand up, be quiet or any thing of the kind. But if I choose to stand and yell for my team I don’t want someone getting their panties in a wad because I do so…….
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
Thanks

Now who misread my post?
Perhaps you don’t understand the meaning of “not asking anyone to do anything but be happy in their own skin and enjoy the game however they like”. IT MEANS ENJOY THE GAME HOWEVER YOU WISH WITH NO INTERFERENCE FROM ME. You won’t see me acting like the school librarian and telling someone to quit standing and cheering whenever they like. Maybe lil’ Miss High-n-Mighty could use some reading comprehension skills of her own. You’re so right Carl/ sam-i-am.
Keep needling the spelling grandma……it’s so cute to have another spelling/grammar nazi on here. Hell, if I knew that every post would be graded for spelling and grammar mistakes I would’ve taken my time and checked for errors. NOT. Its a blog post not a research paper.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU

Is it safe to assume you were never invited to join a high school debate team?
Yawn. You’re boring me now. Shoo fly. Go away. But if you’re interested, here’s where you can look in the mirror (warning: it contains several words, some of which are polysyllabic):
If you’re (notice that the contraction of “you” and “are” uses an apostrophe) going to represent yourself on a public blog, do Auburn proud and argue on the basis of facts instead of name calling. Live up to your tag line.
Conan the Librarian
Holy cow....
I didn’t know I was addessing a high school debate champion. I should have never stepped into that quagmire…..I mean really there I was failing to use the proper spelling of words and all the time you were preparing to filet me on it. Gee how foolish was that……..I mean after all if I don’t pay attention to details here it may creep over into my work, right? Wrong. Do Auburn proud and don’t be so overzealous about a few mispelled words on a “public blog”. Is it any different of me to use a few names to describe the demeanor of your (notice the lack of the apostrophe) remarks than it is for you to refer me as “Testosterone Todd”? Hell next time we’re in a high school debate I’ll just throw in the towel…..but since we’re on a blog you’ve (another apostrophe) just further substantiated my theory that you’re (holy crap another one) a very sanctimonious individual. Gee now I guess I’ll go look up polysyllabic and learn to contract the verb “is” (along with any conjugation of the verb of course).
Sincerely,
Testosterone Todd

My initial post
was a call for courtesy among fans, nothing more, nothing less. And yes, I did use a couple of perjorative terms for self-centered folks, both those who try and force others to sit the entire game AND those who stand for 60+ minutes and never sit, in spite of making other fans miserable. In reaction to my post, you . . .
— wrongly assumed I advocated sitting,
— wrongly assumed I hassle the people who sit in front of me,
— questioned my ability to contribute to a football discussion (in spite of this specific topic being fan behavior), and,
— challenged my right to post at all.
I’m still a little surprised how you could jump to all of these conclusions. But you did. I’m not fooling myself that I’ll change your Todd-centered world view. But I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the sitting/standing poll on this blog. You’re in the minority, bubba. Did you follow my link to the Rasmussen poll that has to do with civility in America?
I hope you enjoy the rest of the season. Seriously. I’m tired of the internecine squabbling. I hope you’re in a whole herd of like-minded “standers” and that you enjoy every minute of the game.
WDE
I apologize for any confusion on my part....
but your initial post did advocate those who stand rather than sit whether that is your intention or not…..you see the entire pretense Zach’s post was about someone asking him to sit. And I didn’t assume you hassled anyone……and I certainly didn’t question your ability to contribute to a football discussion rather I pointed out that you joined the site apparently just to chime in on a bitch session. And no I never challenged your right to anything much less to post your thoughts. I merely pointed out the percieved absurdity of your posts….which actually became quiet entertaining the more you made them. And had you read any of my previous posts or subsequent posts on the matter you would find that I also advocate both….albeit with a little better tolerance to either than I thought you demonstrated. And how you get “Todd-centered-world” out of this:
"not asking anyone to do anything but be happy in their own skin and enjoy the game however they like". IT MEANS ENJOY THE GAME HOWEVER YOU WISH WITH NO INTERFERENCE FROM ME.
is beyond me. Live and let live in this “Todd-centered-world”.

As far as the ad hominem attacks.....
yeah I had to read that line real S-L-O-W to catch it.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
Thanks for bringing this up
The only game I was able to attend last year was the away game in Morgantown. I was shocked that the nice Auburn couple in their 50s that I met pregame turned into such jerks about me standing in front of them during the game. It wasn’t just them either. It was sad to see. Especially when just about EVERY Mountaineer fan was standing, actively involved in the cheers and were loud as hell. But why is it that the Auburn stadium security is so belligerent to “standers”? Given the choice between those who sit and those who stand, who do you think Trooper Taylor and Gene Chizik would rather have filling those seats?

Maybe that phrase is what should be on the back of our "All Orange" shirts ...
… and when an jackass behind you tells you to sit, just point to the back of your shirt which says: “All for Auburn, STAND UP and holler.” Problem solved.
Gotta tell ya Zach...
You’re being a dick. My grandfather used to go to games with me, but some guys got the seats in front of us and used your stupid “everybody behind me should have to stand” logic and killed it for him. I usually love your posts, but that’s ridiculous. Sit down and let the people who paid for their tickets enjoy the “seats” they paid for. When a big play or even drive is happening – stand up like a normal fan and cheer. It’s a pretty easy system that 90% of the people in the regular seats follow. I’m younger than you are and less far removed from the student section, but even I know how to be courteous. It’s just good manners.
Was your grandfather in his 60s?
“These people were not 75 or 80. They were in their 60s for sure, but all seemed to be in good health. Standing for some of the game would not have hurt them I am sure.”
I’m pretty sure Zach was NOT putting him in his target sight with this column.
not really...
He was in his late seventies at the time. It’s just that we have seats around a lot of folks who are almost that old, and I sympathize with them. Several of these posts just have a superior tone to them, like these guys are bigger fans or something. I just don’t see why anyone, when asked to sit down, wouldn’t if it weren’t a big moment in the game. Not trying to be contentious, but there are two sides to this thing. As you can see from my handle, I spent a few years at school in tuscaloosa, and being an inconsiderate ass at a game is something they all specialize in. I hate to see any folks on our side of the state act that way.
Escalation of hostility
I enjoy my ass time in the stands, too, but when someone threatens to “stomp your ass” as opposed to merely asking in a nice way, they’ve just escalated the hostility level and have left courtesy far behind. In many cases, this escalation is answered in kind, and then it really gets interesting.

Thanks for that aufabatua...
Everyone needs to be called a “dick” sometimes, it puts things is perspective. But while I am being a “dick” let me tell you of the man that sat in front of me while I was a season ticket holder. He was at least 80-maybe 85. He came to almost every game. He would skip the Citadel or other Div II team, but he was there. He needed a hand getting up the few steps to his seat, and believe me I was more than happy to help him if he did not have someone with him at the time. He sat 95% of the time, you know why? Because he could not really get up quickly.
With that said, he stood when he could, and had no problem with folks standing in front of him. When people would ask him is they were bothering him (which did happen) he would say “Hell No!!! just be sure you are yelling for the right team! If I was able I would be doing the same thing.” It was awesome.
To reply to your being courteous comment. I had no chance to be courteous. They were complaining about me standing on the first play from scrimmage. If you watched the game you know that WVA scored in less than 2 minutes. Moreover… every play to that point was a “big play.”
If you are a War Damn Eagle, you can War Damn anything.
Have to agree....
Your 80-85 year old fan is my hero. That is a true Auburn fan, if you want to sit, stay home. You will have the same impact and let someone who wants to stand up and make some noise have your spot. We need a 12th Man advantage at our home games and we are’nt going to get it with everyone sitting down. Sorry guys, I’m the first person to ask if I am in someone’s way by standing up, but if it’s a big play and noise is going to help…I expect you not to put your needs above the teams and ask me to sit! It’s not about me or the guy sitting down behind me…it’s about the guys on the field! Let me say that again…IT IS ABOUT THE TEAM!!!
Got a solution for you
If you want to stand, stand. Cheer your team. If I find it excessive, I’ll spill my entire drink in your seat and you can stand the whole game.
Deal?
War Damn Eagle.

Neither Sit nor Stand...Just a little story
My husband and I are not season ticket holders and only attend 1 or 2 games a season…usually sitting in the same seats provided by a friend who is a season ticket holder. Anyway, my point…
I love being on the Plains and when we are at the games I sit during non-crucial parts of the game (tv time outs, team time-outs, halftime, etc.), but when either the offense or defense is on the field I AM ON MY FEET and SCREAMING! Last year at the Georgia game, I was wearing my camera around my neck. I, as usual, jumped up when the ball was snapped and my camera hit the elderly man (sitting) in front of me in the back of the head (HARD). I was so sorry, but he was a really good sport. Saying that “as long as I was jumping for Auburn, a camera to the back of the head was worth it!” God bless him! Not ALL of the older people who attend the games are “old farts”, most (that we have encountered) are very gracious and endearing AU fans.
This isn’t to argue either side, just to defend some of the older AU fans we have had the pleasure of meeting on the Plains.

CKTCooper.....
I think thats all most fans do is stand when something is happening or at the very least when everyone is standing in front of them. It sounds to me like most on here have had that person tapping them on the shoulder asking them to sit down at some point……but I have a hard time sitting down just to stare at the persons butt in front of me…….in 40 years of attending AU games I have rarely seen people sitting when the game is on going……not talking about time outs or change of possesion but lets be honest thats not a very big percentage of the time.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
I was thinking the same thing
I had great seats as well and was standing up screaming for Auburn as loud as possible. Two things irked me
-Two college aged kids next to me sat on the bleachers the whole game stoned faced like we were waiting to be called for jury duty (Herm Edwards Voice-Hello YOU CHEER AT THE GAMES)
-I had to deal with yelling from two old crotchety men for cheering for my team at a previous sporting event. I can definitely understand the whole “burning eyes” concept.
Auburn is my team till i die like so many on this board. Why do we need the function on the Jumbotron that says “MAKE SOME NOISE”. We should already be behind them all the way! We aren’t fair weather or frontrunners like some other college football fans choose to be. Auburn Folks shouldn’t be afraid to stand and support them. If that win on Saturday doesn’t get you jacked up and ready to cheer hard every game I DON’T KNOW WHAT WILL!
WAR EAGLE!
Who thought the Locker Room Clip before the Second Half was awesome! I thought that totally changed the emotion and tide of the stadium. It pumped belief into our fans and players!!
How do you decide when it's okay to stand?
Some people have been saying: you stand up for crucial plays, etc. What if it’s just a crucial moment in the game? People stand b/c they are excited, intent on seeing what’s going to unfold.
It’s a natural response. It’s hard to get into the game sitting down. For whatever reason, when I stand, I feel more involved, a part of the game. I stand with the team. When the jumbotron says make some noise, I get off my butt and do it. If its 3rd down in a close game, chances are I’m on my feet.
I get the courtesy argument, I do. But frankly, that stuff can really kill excitement for the folks who actually have a pulse.
This isn’t church, it’s not a night at the opera. It’s football. People stand, cheer, jump, high five, cuss and holler. Get over it. If you want a more controlled environment, watch it on TV. That goes for old folks, and people with kids. Football is an emotional event, it’s tough to control and you kill it by trying to water it down.
If the other team has the ball.....
you should be making it as difficult as possible for them to hear the QB. When our team has the ball yell after the ball is snapped. Past that if the people in front of me are standing I’m standing…which pretty much means every play. Thats what I do…..do it your own way for all I care just don’t start yelling for me to sit down.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
I can’t usually yell when we’re on offense after the ball is snapped. When Auburn has the ball, my vocal cords need a rest, lol. Seriously, I have no voice after our games.
"We're at AUBURN. I think that says it all. We're going after the best in the country -- no matter when, what, where, how. That's how we're going to do it. We're going to work really hard to try to get that done every year -- including this one." -- Auburn University Head Football Coach Gene Chizik
I couldn’t agree with you more, WDZ. It’s ridiculous. This kind of thing is exactly why, even after I graduate, I will never sit anywhere but the student section. I don’t care how old I get, lol. I’d rather shell out the money for someone’s student tickets than put up with this crap. This is my last semester as an AU student (I graduate December 18), but I will be in the student section next year, no doubt about it. I STAND for Auburn, I don’t sit on my ass for it. WAR EAGLE!!!
"We're at AUBURN. I think that says it all. We're going after the best in the country -- no matter when, what, where, how. That's how we're going to do it. We're going to work really hard to try to get that done every year -- including this one." -- Auburn University Head Football Coach Gene Chizik
I'll sit down when the others are sitting.
……I don’t have a problem with that. When the entire section in front of you comes up, as Mario Fannin is blazing down the sideline a hundred feet away, yes. I’m standing up, too.
……Gene Chizik asked us to try and ramp up the noise level for this one, and I think we succeeded. You can yell louder, if you’re standing. Your lungs have greater capacity, standing. Why do you think choirs stand, to sing? I’m just hoping I did my part. I didn’t really feel like I was loud enough.
……Stand, sit, it really don’t matter to me either way. I’ll stand the whole game, if everyone else is. I stand all day at work. What’s a few hours at the game? But if everyone is sitting, then I will too. I’m NOT going to miss any of the game to sit, though. If the folks in front of me are up, then I am too.
You people defending your desire to sit down...
Are the same people that sit or stand still at concerts.
You are lazy and do not know how to have a good time.
ringring…that’s your bag of doritos calling you back home to your couch
Like I said...
It is not about what the person that sits wants, or the person that stands wants…it is about supporting the team on the field by making it more difficult and noisy for the opposition. If the noise bothers you, maybe you need to watch the game from your home and give your seat to someone who is there to make some noise.
We need to strive for our opposition to FEAR a home game at our stadium, they won’t do that if everyone is sitting.
If you are looking for a comfy seat during the game.....
why not a recliner, love seat or fluffy couch in a climate controlled environment?!…dunno like your home! If you are at a game, you have to expect that maybe people want to get up and cheer. They want to stand to see the whole play. They might even be too excited to sit down. Who cares?! Look-I am a short person. When i lived close enough to go to games, I couldn’t always see when people stood up in front of me. I didn’t complain and ask them to sit down. Please! i check with the peeps behind me and stand on my seat, or ask the peeps in front of me to see if I can stand in theirs. I like to stand myself. When i watch games at home, I pace around, stand up..can’t sit still. i realize my voice isn’t quite resonating in jordan-hare, but it is how i grew up watching games, and am hoping to teach my little one to do the same.
