Get in Your Predictions for Ball State

Congratulations to last week's winner, isbo, whose 36-24 score prediction was the closest to the actual, 41-30 final score of last Saturday's WVU game. His margin was the closest of anybody's, so that's why he's the winner. Get in touch with Acid Reign and get your well-deserved Acid Reign bobblehead!

Now on to Ball State, alma mater of one David Letterman, among others. The Cardinals started the year 12-0 in 2008 before falling to Buffalo in the MAC title game and Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl. They've lost their first three games to less-than-stellar competition, running their current losing streak to five games. I'm 99.99% sure Auburn will win this game, but sometimes the impossible happens (right, Michigan?).

So now it's your turn, TET denizens. What will the final score be this weekend? Closest to actual doesn't win anything, but gets an authentic Lane Kiffin moral victory! As for my prediction...

Ball State 13
Auburn 52

55-10

Upon moving to AL, I let my wife decide who she would root for. After one day at a new job full of Bama fans, she met me at the door with a hearty cry of "WAR EAGLE"

1. Auburn will easily win
2. Expect 600 yards of O
3. McCalleb will rush for 150 + yards
4. Fannin will catch and rush for 80 + yards
5. Tate will break 5 + tackles
6. Let’s get into that top 25 we should already be # 24 or 25
7. What is up with moving a team that lost into the top 25 (Nebraska) and FSU jumps us?

by BravesRule on Sep 24, 2009 8:39 AM CDT reply actions

Aww...

I wouldn’t worry about it too much BravesRule. If we keep winning it will all work itself out in the end.

Sorry but...

I never give predictions. Sometimes it bites me in the ass and my ass looks like chewed bubble gum.

i know i just like the extra smack talk if it happens

by BravesRule on Sep 24, 2009 9:47 AM CDT up reply actions

Hehe...

Well i can appreciate that.

I agree...

that a lot of backups will get signicant time in this game. If we are up by more than 2 touchdowns after the first quarter, we may not see the starters back at all, especially on defense. That is why I think ball st has a chance to put up 3 or more touchdowns on us. After the game last week, I am sure our D-line and linebackers can use the rest. And it will be a good chance for Eltoro to sure up his tackling.

"We're at AUBURN. I think that says it all. We're going after the best in the country -- no matter when, what, where, how. That's how we're going to do it. We're going to work really hard to try to get that done every year -- including this one." -- Auburn University Head Football Coach Gene Chizik

racking up the scoreboard

Auburn has always had class when it comes to racking the score up on other teams. Before the BCS came into the picture, I didn’t see any reason for a team to run all over another team. But, if you want to move up in the rankings now you have to run up the score. Remember what happend in 2004? Auburn got booted out to oklahoma because oklahoma generated more points for the season. Rack’em up tigers! My prediction for Saturday is 46-10. I hope it’s more like 70-0. HA HA, WAREAGLE!!!

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
