That's just awesome!

……In my opinion, Lebo stays if he beats Bama. That’s gold! What great news to come home from work to see! War Eagle, Tigers! Let’s win some more!

We will see if he can stay

He needs to recruit better

AUBURN is back!

Lebo's 2010 incoming class is very good....

including blue chip prospect Shawn Kemp (yes he’s the son of former NBA allstar Shawn Kemp) who was formerly committed to the turds but had to attend a year of prep and when the time came Lebo convinced him to come to AU.

I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU

Lebo didn't prove anything. Our Seniors and Juniors still play like they're in high school...

It should not be this way after this long. I love our basketball team, that’s why we need someone else to take over. Anthony Grant is going to overtake what basketball we have in the state, that’s why we need someone to rival him!

I disagree about Anthony Grant.....

he is going to be a good coach but I don’t think he’s going to dominate the state…..Coleman Coliseum isn’t that much better than the Beave even after the renovations they did last year. And I don’t think our players play like they are in high school (sorry dude but that statement is laughable) in fact I think that for an undersized team they play very well….problem is they are undersized. We always have 3 guards on the floor and can hardly ever dominate or even hold our on in the paint and when the majority of your points have to come from the outside it means that you are left to find the hot hand and work to get him the shot. Yes the package we have on the floor is because of recruiting but at the same time Lebo has a legitimate gripe about how tough it is to recruit to AU……remember we are a Football school and the Beave is embarrassing as a major college facility. The new facility will have the seats right over the floor and will have less than 10k seats……nothing worse than 5000 to 10000 empty seats every game at the Beave (with the exception of Kentucky and Bama games). Give Lebo his one year of good recruits and see what happens……it’s not like AU basketball will suffer for it…….they may not get anybetter but they won’t be anyworse off.

Yeah, we do have three guards on the floor

And it’s the coaching that affects our players. Apparently they had never been coached on full court press…defense…offense (3’s & Free Throws). We have great players, which the excuse from Lebo about recruits is terrible, we just have players that aren’t coached well. I don’t hate the guy, I just think we can find someone better.

***I meant to add

that the fact that we have three guards on the floor does suck, but someone like dwayne reed should produce better numbers as a guard and be a better leader than almost give the game away like yesterday. Our numbers on the season are not good and really haven’t gotten better…and they really haven’t for Lebo’s tenure, that’s why I question our coaches…

I agree to some amount.....

that free throws have been a big problem for Lebo’s squad….but that’s not coaching…..that’s lack of diligence on the players part. It is up to the players to practice their free throws…..show me one program in major college that includes free throws as part organized practice. As far as the quality of players yes we do have some very good players…but we are by no means a team that has quality depth on the bench (which is directly related to recruiting) and the lack of size on the team decreases the effectiveness of the guards scoring ability and always will. If an opponent has nothing to fear in the paint and knows that they can shut it down with 1 or 2 players it gives them the ability to come out and guard the shooters further out on the floor. Also, a team without depth and size has a hard time pressing alot because on one hand the size allows the other team to take advantage of the long pass and break the press easily and without depth you can’t press very much or you will wear down too quickly. I think the only thing Lebo has shown a lacking in to this point is his recruiting…..I can find little fault with Lebo’s Gameday X’s and O’s and I would like to see what he can do with more than a few good players and no depth on the bench.

You should have

kept recording and gotten “rammer jammer” on here, lol. I like the thought of hiring Chuck Person as our coach…

"We're at AUBURN. I think that says it all. We're going after the best in the country -- no matter when, what, where, how. That's how we're going to do it. We're going to work really hard to try to get that done every year -- including this one." -- Auburn University Head Football Coach Gene Chizik

We were there...

courtside right behind the Bama bench…It was great!
I say give Lebo a little more time to recruit to a new facility and see what happens. We looked sloppy and Reed played terrible, but we still showed heart and walked away with a win. Improvement from year to year is the key, if we can’t get better players in with the new facility and improve, Lebo is out.
