Do you like this story?
Comments
And all of you wish this was your team.
My comments are of my own and do not represent any other bama fans or blog or website or blackberry whatever else can be connected to the stupid internet.
So if you don't like what I say grow a set or ban me and ANYONE else can ban me to if they want. I don't care about your nancy feelings anymore than you care about mine.
Deal with it. (I have for the past decade)
Hey
Which Bammer site is giving you sh*t about what you say? Is it RBR? Those guys are dorks. You can hang out over here if you like.

says the Tide Fan trolling the Auburn blog
Jay,
You were too kind. I had kind pictured photos from the movies “Deliverance” and “Rocky Horror Picture Show”.
Depends on what you mean by that
Do I wish Auburn was playing in the national championship game? Absolutely yes.
Do I wish Alabama was “my team”? No way in a million years.
You know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in France?
You miss the point
We don’t really hate the team, just the fans of Alabama, most especially those who never attended a single class at the institution in question. I bear no ill will to any player, and think Saban is a good coach (but dislike his personality).
But those fans,…. the sidewalk alumni. Yeah, the seventh pit isn’t deep enough.

I never understood the sidewalk fan insult
I mean, I was a Bama fan from age one, as far as I can tell. By the time I was ten I was a full on, die-hard fan. Then, when I turned eighteen, economic and family constraints prevented me from moving to Tuscaloosa and going to school there. I’m still a bama fan, and always will be. Don’t know why that would rub someone the wrong way.

No family ties
I think what bothers most people are the bandwagon bama fans. If someone grew up liking a team b/c there family went there, they attended , grew up in the city or had some affiliation with he school thats doesnt bother me. However when you have the most obnoxious “FANS” representing your school and they just decided to cheer for a team b/c they are winning all of a sudden that drives me crazy. From my experience Alabama and UGA have the most “Fans” that fall into this category.
Gotcha
I can see why that’d be more than a little annoying. Those type of fans are traditionally the absolute biggest a-holes on the planet because they always go to far to defend their fandom.

So what you are saying is
that all of your redneck fans have actual ties to the university. Just as I have always suspected! I applaud your candor, sir.

Did you wait
until the outcome of the SEC championship to decide who your favorite team is this year, Mr. Kobayashi.
The definition of pathetic....
is going to your rivals website to troll when your team is preparing to play for the national championship. And before you ask, Kobayashi, my point is you are pathetic.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
my point
is that you sound like a bandwagon fan Florida would be your favorite team if they won the SEC title this year, but you have jumped on the Bama Wagon since they won. Just an observation though b/c this is an Auburn website and there are a lot of bama flavor of the year fans on here.
Trolling?
I was just passing through, actually. I usually hang out at RBR where my presence is tolerated more or less in good humor. However, for reasons never made clear to me, their selection of links to other, non-Bama websites is not so great. For this reason, I come to TET to catch the link to Rocky Top Talk which links to pretty much everybody, including Burnt Orange Nation. BON has some insightful pieces concerning the uncoming dust up. Like I said, I was just passing through when I noticed that Jay Coulter had mistakenly posted a photo of some random UT fans under a heading that suggested these people were UA fans. Is it any surprise that I and other alumni from the university might want to post a comment or two? If you don’t want the trolls hanging around, don’t bait them.
It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to come over here and launch into a What-I-hate-about-Auburn-Fans diatribe. Besides, I am a little distracted by the prospect of The Tide adding Championship #13 another Nat’l Championship to however many you think we already have. I will say this; you guys need to lighten up, especially you, Todd92. I hate that some Bama fan killed your dog but, Jesus dude, you’re really starting to worry me. Let it go already.

As far as my dog.....
no Bama fan is allowed within 500 yards of her for fear of her losing her virginity and as far as my lightening up I used to be alot easier on you vermin…….but you bubba’s get more obnoxious with every passing moment. And the difference is when you see me on one of the bammer sites with the “I hate Bammers diatribe” then you can call me a hypocrite or whatever but until then it seems as though you came here to hear it. I DON"T TROLL. In closing, let me add that, regardless of how many National Championships you choose to claim I’m old enough to remember when Bama fans bristled at Notre Dame for claiming the bogus NC titles only to start claiming them a few years later….that only makes it more preposterous when I hear some redneck yelling “got 12”.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
I'm gonna have to agree with a bama fan on this one
I have absolutely no ties to Auburn whatsoever. When I was a little kid, my uncle called my father to brag about Alabama beating Penn State (Dad grew up in Lewistown, Pa, about 30 miles from State College). I looked up and said “Daddy, do Alabama people hate Pennsylvania people the most?” He patted me on the shoulder and told me that they really hate Auburn the most. My reply? “Well then that’s who I’m gonna root for.” It actually stuck. Now I wanted to go to Auburn, but my deviant guidence councilor told me that my grades weren’t good enough because my extracurriculars didn’t count (they did), and I ended up on a band scholarship to Jacksonville State.
I’m still an Auburn fan, I still go to games, and get to because I choose to, and I’ll not have any alumni accuse me of being any less of a fan because I didn’t go there.
I get to hear crap from all of my realitives at Thanksgivig when we lose. That a lone should be worth something. My cousin goes to Auburn, and he’s still a damn Bammer, so….I guess I’m making up for him?
Upon moving to AL, I let my wife decide who she would root for. After one day at a new job full of Bama fans, she met me at the door with a hearty cry of "WAR EAGLE"

I have a particular disdain for the Bammer sidewalk alumni....
who put on an air of superiority because of their choice in teams to root for….you know the ones like your uncle. They are typically the worst because their arrogance is even more unfounded and they only root for Bama because they chose to root for Bama and the B’ar during the 60’s and 70’s (bandwagon fans) or their “Daddy or Mommer” is a bandwagon sidewalk alumni fan…….if they lacked the arrogance I would not have the contempt for them. If they had any amount of tact or class in their fanhood I would probably even root for them against Texas. But the fact is they exhibit self-entitlement at every opportunity and can’t be the least bit civil and for that reason……..Screw ‘em and HOOK’EM HORNS!
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
That is not
at all what I meant and by no means do I think you are any less of an Auburn Fan. You have stuck with them since your childhood through the good and bad. You had a reason to love Auburn and cheer for them My point is that if you look at the overall fan base of Auburn vs Alabama , Auburn has fans for life b/c they are willing to stick with them. I have seen so many Bama fans come out of the woodworks and claim their love and then disappear with the bad.
Bammers are confused, I think.
They immediately assume that we hate them because we are jealous. They cannot simply come to grips with the fact that we hate them because of the way they conduct thamselves. I would love to be able to pull for a team from the state, but I just can’t bring myself to because of all of the “you just wish it was you” garbage I’ll have to hear. I would contend that our uncrowned team is rediculously better than either of the teams playing tomorrow.

Yeah but Jethro cheated....
Remember? Jed told him it wasn’t much of a challenge using syrup as bait for the flies.
What a classic.

I'm no alum ...
but I wish to this day that I had gone to AU.
I’ve been a fan since the 80’s when we moved from PA. UA was still playing Penn State so there was no way that I would cheer for UA. Watching Bo Jackson as a kid didn’t hurt matters either. Even after moving back to PA, my loyalties still lie with AU and the SEC. I do see some fans up here and shout War Eagle when I see them.
