Reinforcement Is On The Way For The Defense

                                                                  Aairon Savage gets another chance.

The promising Auburn player's dream seem to be shattered  as he was carted off the practice field  with another injury on a hot July day in 2008. However, the NCAA announced today that former Freshman All SEC and Freshman All American, Aairon Savage has been granted a 6th year of eligibility by the NCAA. After battling past injuries and moving over from safety, Savage went down to a knee injury that most thought would end his playing days. He came back in 2009 only to suffer a torn Achilles tendon.  Former roommates Jerraud Powers and  Walter McFadden said today, that they knew,  that their close friend would work his way back.(http://www.2oanow.com/oan/oasports/aairon_savage_gets_one_more_shot/128088)

He was going to be " the man "  in 2008 & 2009 on defense but surgeries for torn ACL, MCL, and torn Achilles put an end to that. He was not just the starting corner, he was one of the team leaders and a player that was looked up to by all. As big  a blow as it was to his teammates, it naturally was an even bigger blow to Aairon. But  Aarion is an Auburn Man, quitting was not an option. He went to work and fought his way back, and now .... he will bring reinforcement to the defense.

Congratulations Aairon !  The Auburn family  is very happy for you tonight and we can't wait to show you our love and appreciation when you hit Pat Dye field again in seven months. War Eagle !

This may be the sentimental story for the 2010 season

I know one thing, it will be hard not to be pulling for Aairon in 2010. We all hope his dreams will be fulfilled.

What A Great Story

Aairon has proven the phrase “ever to conquer never to yield.” And he definitely has been “fearless and true”. He is an inspiration to us all and makes me even more proud today to be an “Auburn Man” too.
War Eagle and Hooray for Aairon !!!!

True determination

and he is also a big gain for our defense. I think this will help us out a whole lot.
