Good read, Kyle
I know you ground your teeth down while writing that. I left a comment over there, as should everyone. You know the Bammers will be over there soon.
The bottom line is that we call have respect for our conference mates, especially those who go through an entire SEC slate undefeated. I would lobby for any SEC team in a similar scenario, but a lot of people in the blogosphere would not, out of sheer homerdom. Mad props, Kyle.

Here, here!
……I think a lot of championship selectors are afraid to set any sort of precedent. They may or may not strip USC, but they aren’t going down the retroactive road, for a lot of reasons. The AP was consistent in NOT taking their title away. They’ve never been concerned with probation or the like.
To the Contrary....
while I won’t bemoan the lack of the retro-active title….the AP has been anything but consitant during their existence. 1983…..needs no explanation to you. 1993 the AP states it cannot give a team on probation the NC a mere 8 years after Oklahoma is awarded the title and while yes Oklahoma’s probation ended on Dec. 31 1985 and they played a New Years Day Bowl Game they still played the entire season on probation and technically couldn’t have played in a New Years Eve Bowl game. 2004 they didn’t have the balls then why should we think they would have them now.
And T. Kyle King….I still hold certain views of you but I respect you more after that read.
I would have gone to bammer if my grades hadn't been good enough to go to AU
T Kyle is a Class Act !
Good to see someone esle in the conference defending SEC (Auburn) rights. We compete hard but we all ( the SEC members) need to watch each other’s back.
