O-mac only has...
….one more year. Remember it took Kodi a year to become a good wide receiver. I think we’ll be ok there next year, with Blake, Reed a year older, and young guys like Sammie Coates and Jaylon Denson coming up. What we need are run blockers. One of this year’s downfalls was that we basically had Lutzenkirchen as a reliable lead blocker, and no one else. You really need about 4, a couple of H-backs, and a couple of tight ends. We’re desperately hoping Ladarius Phillips steps up! And Brandon Fulse.
......Drowning in cool elixir.
One of the most disappointing things this year...
Clearly Auburn’s offensive line played below our hopes, and their potential, but the biggest frustration came from these two positions.
LaDarius Phillips failed to live up to his potential, and this really hurt. Malzahn’s offense is only successful if everyone does their job. Phillips continually whiffed on blocks, or just plain didn’t block the right guy on numerous occasions. We all want to see him succeed, and then he would get opportunities to run the ball.
Brandon Fulse has shown some flashes of greatness, and we hope he continues to improve his run blocking, he would play much more.
I think Gus is at a quandary with C.J. Uzomah, he is so talented, he doesn’t quite know how to use him yet. At least that’s what I hope. He is too good to use as just a role player.

I REALLY want to see them give Uzomah a chance at QB
Especially if Frazier has difficulty developing as a passer. He is bigger than Frazier and he WAS Cam Newton at his High School. And he already is 6’5" 235lbs.
If they keep him at WR, I would LOVE to see Malzan set him and Fulse up to one side with Lutzy as the H back and run the WR or Bubble screen with Blake on the other side. With that much beef on one side of the line you would HAVE to leave Blake in one on one coverage to avoid the mismatch that would result from getting Uzomah the ball on the edge with Fulse and Lutzy as blockers.
I love the smell of Auburn in the autumn.....it smells like....victory.
You say....
you would HAVE to leave Blake in one on one coverage to avoid the mismatch that would result from getting Uzomah the ball on the edge with Fulse and Lutzy as blockers
And I start to mist up a little. It must be dusty in here.
Or you’re on to something there. Oh, what could have been.

Didn't Kentucky just ...
beat Tennessee with a receiver at QB? i heard that he crammed 54 plays into his cranium in one week!

Pops of ToTM has been advocated Lutzie at QB.......
because, why the hell not? He might be able to block for himself AND throw down field.
