Six Auburn Football Players Make All-SEC

Auburn Defensive End Cory Lemonier has been named to the Coaches All-SEC First Team. He was one of six Tigers to be selected All-SEC. In the above picture, Lemonier sacks Florida Quarterback Jeff Driskel on Oct. 15th 2011 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

We reported Tuesday here at Track Em Tigers that Mike Dyer, Phillip Lutezenkirchen, and Cory Lemonier made the Associated Press (AP) All- SEC Team.

Since that time the coaches list has been released by the SEC office and a total of six Tigers have been named All-South Eastern Conference.

Punter Steven Clark joins Running Back Michael Dyer, and Defensive End Corey Lemonier on the first team. Tight End Philip Lutzenkirchen and Offensive Tackle Brandon Mosley made the second team. In addition Running Back Onterio McCalebb was chosen as an all-purpose selection.

Steven Clark is a finalist for the Ray Guy Award. He averaged 40.5 yards per punt including one punt for 58 yards. Steven is second in the nation in punts inside the 20 with 32. Only 10 of his punts have been returned this season with five of those for negative yards.

Michael Dyer is the second leading rusher in the SEC with an averaged of 103.5 yards per game. He had six games this year of 100 yards and four of 150 yards or more. He is10th all-time on the Auburn career rushing list with 2,335 yards.

Lemonier ranks 12th in the nation and third in the SEC in sacks with 9 1/2 per game. Cory has had 44 tackles (13 1/2 for a loss), five forced fumbles, and leads the team with 15 quarterback hurries.

Junior Phillip Lutzenkirchen leads the SEC Tight Ends in receiving yards and touchdowns scored. He has set a new Auburn touchdown record for tight ends with 14.

Brandon Mosley, the only returning lineman from last year's championship team, helped his team rank fourth in SEC rushing yards with 2,097. The Tigers rushed for more than 200 yards in six games, including 291 yards against Arkansas.

Finally Ontetio McCalebb was selected as second team All Purpose player. And he has truly been the Tigers All Purpose Back this year. He has a 5.2 rushing yard average and ranks second on the team behind Dyer, second in receiving and first in kick return yards. He averaged 9.7 yards in receiving and is tied for the team lead with 30 receptions. In addition, Onterio returned 10 kicks for 320 yards and a touchdown. He holds the school record for return average in a career with 28.3 yards per return.

The Auburn family is proud of these guys and we look forward to seeing them lead the Tigers in the Chik-fil-a Bowl December 31 against Virginia. War Eagle!
