Ryan Pugh Named Player of Year by Montgomery Quarterback Club

Auburn center Ryan Pugh (50) blocks for Darvin Adams (89).
The Montgomery Quarterback Club has named Auburn senior Ryan Pugh as its 2010 Player of the year. Earlier this year Ryan was a finalist for the Remington Trophy for the nation's best center. He also was a finalist for the Lowe's Senior Class Award, which is presented to student athletes who excels on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
Ryan was the starting center for Auburn's 2010 National Championship team. He started forty one games while playing for Auburn and finished this year as an All- SEC Center and third team All American. He will receive the award at a formal banquet Tuesday night at the Montgomery Country Club. Congratulations Ryan and War Eagle!

I agree. Will he get a look from NFL teams? I haven’t heard anything about him concerning draft potential.
Most of the projections that I have seen, have Ryan ...
… going in the mid to late rounds. They all agree taht he can paly at the next level. A couple see him as a backup center. Even if that were to be the case, a lot of NFL backups have gone on to become starters.
