NFL Prospect Tier Ratings-Cam, In Tier 8?
I don't know what to think of this. I know that I am too close to the situation to make a judgement, not based in prejudiced emotions. Still, I think whoever skips on Cam when they need a QB, will be carrying that burden around the rest of their life.
Tier 8 (Gifted talent with inconsistencies, boom or bust pick)
QB Jake Locker: Washington
QB Cameron Newton: Auburn
QB Ryan Mallett: Arkansas
DT Marvin Austin: North Carolina
DT Jurrell Casey: USC
DT Kenrick Ellis: Hampton
DT Phil Taylor: Baylor
CB Jimmy Smith: Colorado
OT Nate Solder: Colorado
Nick Fairley looks to be in good shape if this ratings chart is accurate.
Tier 2 (Starts first game as a pro, a featured player on an NFL team)
DE Robert Quinn: North Carolina
OLB Von Miller: Texas A&M
DT Nick Fairley: Auburn

I think its fair
but Jake Locker needs to be removed and place into an overhyped athlete with no accuracy category. Everyone else on that list would seem to have decent pro, multiyear backup as an absolute floor, as long as they are good off the field. And that floor is a decent floor. Locker just doesn’t look like he will ever be accurate enough.

No QB is a sure thing.
