Koetter was dealt a lousy hand..
…this year. Management ran off the QB he had developed and wanted (David Gerrard) and decided to go with Blaine Gabbert and Luke McCown. Gabbert barely hit 50 percent of his passes, for a pretty miserable 65 QB rating. McCown was worse, throwing for 4 picks and zero TDs, and a 39 QB rating.
......Drowning in cool elixir.
Coaching carousel is right
I believe the falcons OC became the HC at Jax and Jax OC moves lateral to Falcons OC? I know experience is a valuable commodity, but jeez…get some fresh blood now and then.

I bet it will be someone yet to be named.
That seems to be the way Chizik operates. I hadn’t heard VanGorder’s name more than casually mentioned until the day he was hired. I trust it will be a good hire… though I gotta say I wish we could just find out who it is. The waiting is killing me.
Auburn Tigers 2010 National Champions
I agree. Feel like a kid at Christmas!
Seems like if its someone from the collage ranks it would’ve been announced by now. That’s just a very amateur hunch. Seems like its someone from the pros, maybe? The suspense, AHHHHH!
Well, I guess his luster wore off....
once bama and Saban interviewed him. Or perhaps Chizik didn’t like his stand offish attitude. From what I could gather he wasn’t quick to commit. He was looking at what else was being offered besides jumping on the Auburn bus.
Whatever.
Chizik is running the razor’s edge here with the program. With 5 star recruits out there who are looking at our program… I am worried. Again. It’s obvious to me that it is harder to land the prize than originally anticipated.
Funny thing… while I think Chizik is being very, very selective… I get the impression that Saban simply settled. I guess you can do that once you have 3 BCS championships?
