Is Cameron Auburn's New Offensive Coordinator?
With no contract extension on the table for Cam Cameron from Baltimore, could Cam be our next OC ?
From Wikipedia created by AU GRAD, the free encyclopedia:
"Malcolm "Cam" Cameron (born February 6, 1961) is an American football coach. He is currently the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. He was previously head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, offensive coordinator of the San Diego Chargers, and head coach at Indiana University. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced Cameron as the new offensive coordinator on January 23, 2008.
Cameron spent the first ten years of his career at the University of Michigan, where he learned from long-time Wolverine coach Bo Schembechler. After two years as a graduate assistant, he became Michigan's youngest assistant and was responsible for tutoring quarterbacks and receivers (WRs 1986-1989, WRs/QBs 1990-1993).
He coached many future NFL players, including Jim Harbaugh, Elvis Grbac, Todd Collins, Amani Toomer, Derrick Alexander and Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard.[1] Cameron served as an assistant at Michigan alongside future head coaches Lloyd Carr, Gary Moeller, Les Miles, and Mike DeBord. His fellow graduate assistant was Mike Trgovac, who is currently the defensive line coach of the Green Bay Packers, after serving six years as the defensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers."

Don't know about that one.
…..He’s had a few years with Joe Flacco. I don’t really see him turning Moseley or Frazier into the next Joe Montana.
......Drowning in cool elixir.
If he's it, we should know soon
I wouldn’t be thrilled with him as an OC, but he follows the philosophy of a no-flash offense that is designed to keep a stellar defense rested.
why would an NFL coordinator
go back down to the college ranks? Oh, wait, isn’t that how we got VanGorder?
Phillip Marshall tweets...
“Cam Cameron not expected back in Baltimore”. It leads to a bunch of comments that sound like he’s ours…Marshall doesn’t confirm anything but doesn’t deny it either. I’m not a member so I can see all of the comments.
By the way...
Will he be drinking Cammie Cam juice all the time? His name makes it sound like it! If so, welcome aboard! :)
Good choice and a good possibility
But I am still holding out for the SF guy (name escapes me right now) or Clement. I have read bio for both and they have better QB development pedigrees. The fact that the Ravens are now out of the playoffs make Cam more desireable because we can get him quicker. If SF gets beat later that puts his name on the table quick. Damn, either one…. just hire someone Gene!!!!
Just had another thought, having an OC named Cam will be a constant reminder to the fine folks at West Vance about another Cam and the misery he dealt them. Not bad hmmm.
Now that the statue/altar/shrine is up, is it in Sabans contract that he gets to take it with him when he leaves?
I would say I'm not impressed because most people haven't heard of him, but
Most people hadn’t heard of Chizik either. It’s funny that Coach Loeffler doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page.
Scot Loeffler?
I really don’t mean to be negative here, why wait all of this time (since Dec 17), to just name Loeffler as OC. Oh well, strike two coach chizik!
those in north alabama, be weather alert tonight! War Eagle!
Not to be a negative nelly, but...
Let’s hope his passing numbers will improve over his last two years coaching:
2010 Florida QB Coach – 85th in the nation
2011 Temple OC – 115th out of 120
I hope they see something that I don’t. I think Coach Looper should be Co-OC.
Also, I guess we are sticking with the spread offense. Which based Frazier’s talents, I wouldn’t argue with, unless we had a proven NFL coach to run hybrid pro-style.
Chizik has earned the right to be trusted. War Eagle!
Loeffler hasnangood background....
Last 2 years don’t seem too impressive but not with the best of circumstances. We need a guy that can coach the QBs up and he has had a good rep. With QBs. Resume looks good and I think it is a good hire!
It's not really fair that I just voted 'no'.........
but at least I am 100% correct!

No...
Any guy named Cam Cameron would immediately arouse the suspicions of the NCAA and Georgia and Alabama fans would instantly seek to have him declared ineligible.
