Alabama may be sticking its chest out this week claiming another mythical national championship – in recruiting; but Auburn’s not doing too shabby.
If you haven’t picked up this year’s annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition you need to make a beeline to Books-A-Million. On newsstands today, it features Auburn senior Jessica Trainham.
The Phenix City, Alabama native is scheduled to graduate this May from Auburn with a degree in Radio, Television and Film. Being a graduate from that school I can tell you the girls didn’t look like that in 1991.
So how did she land the gig?
In addition to being a student, Trainham has been an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader for the past three years. Sports Illustrated invited 10 NFL cheerleaders to participate in this year’s spread and Trainham was one of them.
The 22 year-old was invited to New York six months ago to participate in the photo shoot. Congratulations to Jessica.

Coeds in Auburn were...
.....pretty awesome in the late 1970s/early 1980s, I thought! For my first two years, my window out of room 208 in Dorm 7, in the Quad, was a little picture of heaven!
.....You have to remember than during that era, girls tended to wear those very high, tight, light-colored polyester slacks that left no panty-lines or other details to the imagination. Yeeeeaahhhhhh!
.....I walked my 14-year-old son through the Quad before the Ole Miss game, last year. He was appreciative! There were some eye-popping beauties cavorting around, that day, I must say!

That's the great thing about the co-ed's...
..when I come back to campus each fall. I keep getting older, but they still stay the same age...
Acid: Truth be told, the number one reason I came to Auburn was because when I was in high school, every visit to I made to Auburn, I saw the prettiest girls I had ever seen. Something like that isn't lost on a teenager...
Todd: Roll your tongue back into your mouth! Hey, you were there in 1989 when Playboy had their 'Girls of the SEC' pictorial, right? That caused quite a sensation on the campus even though the Auburn girls' pics were not that rique'.
