2008 Recruiting Stunk for AU

Wed Feb 06, 2008 at 12:48:59 PM EDT

Sorry, guys. Tubs and company blew it, and what we have been hearing for a year is true. Tuberville cannot recruit against Saban. And, to make matters worse, we lost key players to the likes of South Florida, North Carolina, and Ole Miss. Don't give me crap about Tuberville getting players who fit in his system. He lost all 7 head-to-heads against Alabama, and had to settle for a 2-Star LB from Northview High here in Dothan. So, I will say this. Tubs, you'd damn well better beat Bama while you can. We have a leg up on them in experienced talent for now, but no for much longer.

Answer me this....How does a school that has posted the 5th best record in DIV I over the last 5 years look so inept in recruiting?

Sherman! March to College Station

Well, I was wrong. I have no problem admitting that. It looks as if Tuberville will stay at Auburn. I am; however, still a little puzzled by the week leading up to Georgia and the day of that game. What happened? Why didn't he shout from the rooftops that he wasn't going? Oh well. Anywho, it looks like Arkansas may open up, but would Tuberville step over and down to coach the pigs? It is his home state, but I doubt it. Like I have always said, Tubs and I have a love-hate relationship. Hed makes me so proud at times and so mad others. It's almost like a parent when your a teenager. Anyways, good for Texas AM, and good for Auburn. Now, let's can Borges and get a trigger happy OC, retain Muschamp, and beat Bama in recruiting. All of these things can happen, AND all of these things will....War Eagle!

Georgia Letter-Reprisal

Wed Nov 14, 2007 at 08:06:47 AM EDT

Good morning Auburn Nation! I would like to take the opportunity to set the record straight on my previous letter. I haven't been present at Auburn-Georgia games here in recent history, so I do not have prior knowledge of any wrong doing by Auburn players, coaches, or fans. I apologize if my words seemed insensitive to Georgia people, but the fact of the matter is what I saw from Georgia was Circus Theatrics. Whether you agree with me or not is up to you, but a wise man once wrote that "Perception is reality". If I perceived wrong doing and an over-abundance of WWE type trickery, then that is in fact a reality for me as an Auburn fan. Did I imagine the touchdown celebration against Florida? The shooting birds and inappropriate gestures at the Crimson Tide student section? Or what happened Saturday? NO! I have said nothing out of line. Mark Richt needs to get a hold of that team and teach them the honorable way to win. Thats what I am saying and thats what I will stand by!

Open Letter To Georgia Fans

Mon Nov 12, 2007 at 09:58:36 AM EDT

Congratulations! Your school, team, and coaching staff have acted as classless as possible this year. The game Saturday night was just another example. Georgia's theatrics Saturday night were absolutely deplorable. They looked like a BUNCH OF CIRCUS MONKEYS out there. It takes late hits, blackouts, and total lack of character to win. Congrats Mark Richt. I used to respect you. Now, I have nothing but contempt for you and your fans....But, don't celebrate too long Georgia fans! You beat Alabama, Auburn, and Florida in the same season and STILL won't make it to the SEC! Congrats on absolutely nothing! We still own you....

Okay, someone needs to fix the criteria for the Intro part of this blog site. It's one of the worst formatted that I have seen. I had a very interesting blog written, and apprently it didn't fit into the set criteria. Please! Fix it! Anyways, check out my Monday rant below!!!

A Must Read

Wed Oct 24, 2007 at 07:40:05 PM EDT

Isnt it interesting that the SEC officiating crew that called a poor game in the LSU/Auburn game is the same crew that called a horrid Ole Miss/Alabama game the week before? Something is really fishy....Your thoughts? Mine are that this crew should be looked at further, and I guarantee that there is something amiss there....

Saban Nation?

This college football season has been interesting to say the least. But, I have to go on record about a couple of things......Enjoy

Regime Change?

Mon Sep 17, 2007 at 11:15:49 PM EDT

Auburn is my first love, so why the discontent? I'll tell you why! I didn't wait 9 months to watch Brandon Cox give away two games that we should have won! I am tired of excuses! So, here goes!!

Don't Write Us Off Just Yet

Tue Sep 11, 2007 at 05:36:25 PM EDT

Auburn isn't done just yet! Why does it seem that people are wanting to fire Tuberville? I am not priveledged to any insider info, but it seems Borges and Tubs are having issues. Does anyone know whats going on?

I know that I have written bad things concerning Cox, but it was out of anger. I just wish the kid could get back to the way he was playing in 2005. Is that too much to ask?

All complaints aside, I still think we have a fair season. We just need to keep our heads and settle some disputes from within....

Cox Must Go

Sun Sep 09, 2007 at 01:07:16 AM EDT

With the naivety of a three year old, I had hoped Auburn would come out and take care of business against South Florida. I was mistaken. What do you call a Div I quaterback with three years starting experience? A Heisman Trophy Candidate. Brandon Cox has proven, once and for all, that he is incapable of running an offense. He could have, at least, laid down and pretended to be hurt like Michigan's Chad Henne. No one would have falted him for it. Yet, once again, he has proven himself in the arena of incapability. I REFUSE to watch another game until Tuberville removes this tumor from our offense.....

Don't blame the offensive line, they did their part....I still bleed orange and blue.....

Not Worried About Recruiting

Sat Sep 08, 2007 at 10:44:44 AM EDT

Over the last few weeks, there have been calls for concern regarding Auburn's recruiting. The assertion that Alabama is destroying Auburn in recruiting is merely a farce designed to instill a sense of panic. Auburn will be just fine when signing day rolls around. Granted Alabama has some studs that have verbally committed, but thats just it. They have only just verbally committed. It is a long season with guaranteed ups and downs for both programs, and at the end of the day season performance, solid coaching, and winning the Iron Bowl will have a greater affect on the recruits than just the mere word of a "Flighty" coach.
